That sounds like an exciting challenge! First, we should clarify the motivation behind it. what specific features or capabilities do you feel Deno offers that React Native lacks?

Hermes is just a JS engine it won't provide any runtime. the runtime is react native itself.

Yeah, itโ€™s using Hermes, and soon weโ€™ll have static Hermes, which outputs machine code for JavaScript.

Deno isnโ€™t a JavaScript engine; it uses V8 under the hood. I believe thereโ€™s a React Native V8 you can use as well.

GitHub - tc39/proposal-regex-escaping: Proposal for investigating RegExp escaping for the ECMAScript standard Proposal for investigating RegExp escaping for the ECMAScript standard - tc39/proposal-regex-escaping

ECMAScript excitement ๐Ÿ˜‰

Congrats to @jordan.har.band on advancing the proposal for RegExp.escape to Stage 4 today at TC39 ๐ŸŽ‰

It lets you escape arbitrary strings so they can be used in Regular Expressions.

RegExp.escape("(*.*)"); // "\(\*\.\*\)"

React Native now seamlessly supports both native and web.

it's time to prioritize a truly native look! ๐Ÿš€
Apps that feel native stand out and gain trust.

Whatโ€™s your take? Should RN apps aim for a native feel or embrace a hybrid look?

I'm working on porting native ActionSheetIOS from #reactnative into a fully composable API, and it's coming together nicely.

Next up: bringing support to Android and Web!

I would say itโ€™s whether you need a web app or not? and also being able to push updates over the air without need for app store approval is also another bonus point for react native

go with react native if
- you already have web devs
- you need a web app as well
