I've worked on various Black Cat series now for what might be a decade. I had always insisted her eyes should be green. The new series I was told they have to be blue for now on. She's going to have green eyes in Marvel Rivals tho and that makes me happy.

Comics.. I tell ya. What a crazy industry. A publisher offered me a project a couple months back and there was no follow through. Seeing it announced with a different colorist now. Fortunately, I've ended up too busy for it anyway. I don't wish a comics career on anyone though.

Whenever big video games are released I get FOMO and feel the need to get them immediately. I was ready to get Marathon till I watched the server slam. Didn't even bother trying it. I kind of want to play it now though, but it all looks so mid for a Bungie title.

One of my comic pet peeves is having to work on a character/costume that was designed for a badass one off illustration and not for interiors on a comic series.

After over a decade (yeesh) I am returning to the X-family of books with a new ongoing series. Being a little rusty I still have to search for character reference. The irony is a ton of the reference I colored back in the day. I'm just too old to remember it.

This was an interesting project. The original cover was "rendered" using Ben Day Dots and flat color. In order to match up the background and surrounding elements I had to frankenstein it from samples of the original scan. The main head being a combo of old and new.

I am a diehard Firestorm fan, so I was super excited to color this.
