There are tens of thousands of fantastic boardgames out there and hundreds that are right up my alley but do I need another boardgame!? Not really. What I really need is more time for me and my friends to play them.

Where's Waldo drawing of boat with the deck being a deck of cards
It's a boat deck of cards.
Love introducing the kiddos to Where's Waldo. (Wally)
I always thought being the person that names paint colors would be the best job. I'd have a whole line of pun names.

Great games. I'd play Suburbia every week if I could. Probably one of my favorite games that rarely hits the table.
Me: "You find a box. Want to open it?"
You: "Sure"
Me:"Ha! Now you have a life-long boardgaming hobby"
I know. It was right during my lunch break too. ๐ฑ
PitchCar track with start section in green. Has 2 ramps from extension 6, also utilizes the Y splits.
This was the most fun section (in green). Having it at the start w/ the 2 (in blue) mini-ramps from extension 6 was super fun. Also opened the track up a bit for those who shot later as folks split on the Ys or landed on or behind ramps, or off the track (very few rails). 10/10 would recommend it.
PitchCar track setup on big white table with a split, jumps, a loop, long straight and some 3D printed "bump rails"
Got PitchCar back to the table tonight. We try to play it quarterly but life happens and there was a move in there. A fun track with some room for big hits along the straights if you're the risky type.
This game is next on my buy list. It is a bit shocking how spendy it is though!
Boardgame table mat covering a table
Well well well. I never thought I'd have a boardgame table mat, but here I am. Luxe. Super excited to play on it tomorrow!
36"x72".
Good luck! When I had a shared gaming/kid space, I had the top half of the shelves being gaming stuff and the bottom kid toys. Still had to clean up the space constantly before game night but that happens no matter where the mess is with those kiddos.
Dice pitcher made from ceramic
Shadowbox filled with dice sets
Got my boardgame collection situated at the new house. Along with this dice shadowbox and a dice ceramic water pitcher I had made back in highschool.
Looks like a fun night! I have and enjoy most of those games!
You could also get them setup on BoardGameArena! Digital board games you can play with peeps all around the world. It's slick! boardgamearena.com?sp=1eona9
Omg is "Cryptic Monikers" the game Codenames? It's gotta be, right?
Also! What are the boardgames!?
Cryptic Monikers: Charades?
Remorse!: Sorry!
Commerce Dominance: Monopoly?
Small but Crucial Pieces of Information: Clue
I have brought strategic conflicts simulations --controlled revelry-- I selected the ones that are most enjoyable --In what sense?-- These are the ones I am best at --The strategy has already commenced-- Perhaps
Being a boardgamer, this is one of my favorite Strange Planet comics! This one always makes me pause and wonder if my favorite boardgames are just the one I'm best at, or do I just play a lot of my favorite games...Today's comic:
Maybe it's "normal" ha. Mine are unplayed as of the last 2 years. I have played all but 3 but it's been awhile!
Folks really need to talk about their trade/sell piles more. It's a hell of a lot more interesting than everyone talking about the same hotness game over and over again.
But seriously. Good work on getting them moving along when they're not getting played.
More game nights! That's what we need
Nice. Progress is progress. Such a silly thing to complain about, having too many of something we love. What we really need is more time to play!
Hey making progress. I have 3 I haven't EVER played. But 1 is new, the other was a gift (that I'm not interested in playing) and the other is a Real-time game that I haven't learned yet because I don't think my group is interested in playing. Probably should just rid of the latter two.
Sadly I have 26 unplayed games in my collection (within the last 2 years).
2 are 2 player only games and 8 are ones on my to-go list. But that still leaves 16 games that I like that have been sitting on my shelf. That's an adjusted 16% of my collection that hasn't been played. Scary.
This is what makes me most nervous about app-driven boardgames. At some point in next 1-3 years, the app will probably stop working all together, then what?
Today's NYTimes Connections was all sorts of disappointing. Is Wyna Liu just an AI alias? Honestly the groups would be if I had typed it into AI. Clumsy. Oof. Just oof.
Ha those are cool!
