Watched Project Hail Mary. It gave me an upbeat of hope for cinemas that I haven't felt for a long time. It was funny and charming and thoughtful. I came out knowing that I would remember the moments and music and can and will quote from it which I feel is lost in a lot of filmmaking these days.

Sound the alarm! A new episode of Eleanor & Alasdair Read That is out! We read Johnny and the Bomb and asked, "what's wrong with Eleanor?"

Discworld games mentioned!
Ive read all the Discworld books but to my shame I never read any of the Johnny Maxwell trilogy. It does remind me that there was another trilogy I need to read that began with Truckers that I have vague memories of seeing on CiTV as a child.
If you sell just one, i'll be the one buying it.
One last rt for the Saturday folk - I need as much traction as possible so my book doesn't end up being one of those nice things that no-one buys.
RT for the evening crowd (plus #SciArt)
I'm buying so many books and you can't stop me!
I regret not seeing Hoppers and Project Hail Mary in the cinema...
Taking some time out from reading Dungeoncrawler Carl (Halfway through the series) and decided to pick up another intriguing book. This time I've started reading Dragonborn by @struan-murray.bsky.social. Well, I say reading because I picked up the book but I'm listening to the audio right now!

Don't go there?
When me and my housemates played it one evening, we were only going to play for a few minutes. Next thing we knew, we'd completed the game (badly) and it was light outside.
Because the people in charge never seem to be sync with the rest of reality for some reason.
Sadly not going to be shown in the UK. It's going to be impossible to not be spoiled I fear.
The Welsh dead are a grumpy bunch.
Had a lovely couple of days spent in the company of someone quite special, only to come back to work today and being told my shop is being shut down at the end of May.
There's a position in another place but it's a trek to travel to.
Need to have a think of what I'm going to do now.
Yay...
You're on the home stretch! You can do it!
Haha, well it worked out in the end! It was a great show! I'm just glad we managed to get to the front! We were both getting crushed at the back! The gap between seats was smaller than ones on a Flixbus!
@misterabk.bsky.social Huh, Déjà vu...
Highly recommend. Would definitely see it again!
*Ominous music starts for some reason*
Pizza Movie was not a film I thought I was going to enjoy that much but it made me laugh pretty much the whole way through. Great performances from the cast and a pretty fun story! The Inglorious Basterds reference was just unexpected and hilarious!
Yes but have you played this game called Nelly Cootalot?
I feel this skull would give me the clue I needed to escape a wizards tower if I solved one of his jolly riddles.
Forgot to say, happy birthday for yesterday!
My company had a thread asking what inspirational things we could do to help the environment for Earth Hour and I suggested we all spend 60 minutes using our brains rather than AI.
