Great paper from Shana Kelley’s group about how the elongation of fatty acids by ELOVL6 maintains membrane anchor points that activate pathogenic KRAS variants. An unexpected way that fatty acid metabolism regulates a yet “unbridgeable” oncogenic variant. Very cool.
