A couple of frames from the drone. Queenstown, Tasmania. Putting the mountains back into mountain biking.
In Australia, the fossil fuel backed conservative parties are whipping up public opposition to renewables projects using misinformation. They are organised and effective. They are exploiting good people by feeding them lies and organising them against renewable projects.
The people who can least afford it are being punished because big business is price gouging. Nice one.
The government has been convinced that it should reduce spending too!! It’s crazy.
Absolutely right. The people who can least afford it and aren’t contributing to inflation are being burdened with unnecessary interest rate rises that won’t stop inflation……
I also am old and Elmore James is the boss!!!
Working on a BRIDGE language exchange program with a Tasmanian and Indonesian School. The message is sustainability and the kids have made up a dance, recorded a song and now we are doing interviews!
In 1964 well before the internet, Marshall McLuhan claimed that “the medium is the message”. The #medium of #media has change significantly since 1964. #Socialmedia provides a system of “tools” that structure information exchange and shape meaning. Bluesky is headed in the right direction.
I’m here for the revolution. The big platforms serve nothing but garbage and ads. Viva a la Bluesky and stuff the billionaires.
I use my university library daily. It’s a crucial repository of deep knowledge. Peer reviewed too!

Got to make the most of the fleeting interaction between soul and stardust.
True Facts. I also concur with the posters who highlight the editor as playing a key role.
I don’t think AirBnB (the service) is to blame here. It’s the owners of the houses who are listing their house on AirBnB who have to shoulder the responsibility. It’s excessive capitalism. There needs to be a policy response as well, as people will always opt for the better financial situatuon.
I am interested in Interactive Documentary narratives and I stumbled upon this amazing work. www.yannarthusbertrandphoto.com/yab/6-billio...

Yes! I am based in Tasmania. I will start a list (once I figure out how) and you and I can start the community! Let’s use #indiefilmmaker to aggregate posts. Thanks for your reply.
I am an aspiring Social Impact Producer living in Australia. Currently studying a Masters in Creative Industries. I might be looking in the wrong places, but I’m struggling to find a #documentary #filmmaking #community on Bluesky. I will start a list once I find a few people to follow. Thanks!
The rubber band analogy is 👌
Sound and visuals at #pearljam in Sydney was next level. The band smashed it! Gen X Nostalgia machine.
Genius. I’m acting on this right now!
It was definitely the bio that hooked me! 😂😂 here for the fireworks.
Here is a short film about Plastic Ocean Waste and how a small coastal community raised awareness about their concerns.
