Just a follow on from this as this just popped up on Facebook. If the below is correct, Arsenal must’ve got 48 points from their last 18 games last season which is 2.7 ppg after a 2.0 ppg first half. That’s what they’ll be holding on to.

Random Liverpool v United thought…

Remember when their fans invaded the pitch, got a game called off with no repercussions whatsoever… Well apart from letting us get out of our funk and then beating them in the re scheduled game.

Would you, hypothetically, give Trent captaincy if that was a deal clincher for him, not knowing what that would do for Van Dijk’s future?

The Saka injury is key too. The only * is whether they make a transformative Jan signing

The 50 must’ve been from 20 then in 22/23. Even better!

Think it’s to replace that little winger break thing they’ve done the last 2 seasons. Where everyone had 1 weekend off.

Yep. I’m just going with what they’ve done as best case scenario.. I can’t imagine they’ll continue at 2ppg.

From memory They got 50 points from first 19 games the season before last? Sure that’s right.. So that’s their best ever return.

As seen everywhere, Arsenal are top of the 2024 calendar league. On that they average 2.4 points per game. Assuming they can sustain that level they get 48 points in their remaining games and end on 84. They’ve avg 2.6 over 19 games, that Will get them to 88. 90 wins us it, 85-88 gives them a chance

Fulham going for the Forest tactic. Be competitive for 60 then throw on the guile to exploit us

We played in 2nd gear and they threatened us mostly on counters. They had 9 men behind the ball for most parts. Cruise control for us really.

Feels like we’re playing this in 2nd gear, Conserving energy.

Far too narrow, making it easy for them to defend us.
