Finally got a chance to check out Pilot Mountain in North Carolina on this day in 2019. Pilot Mountain is near Mount Airy, the hometown of Andy Griffith. Both were mentioned kinda sideways in the Andy Griffith Show as Mt. Pilot and May-*berry*.
