Trump would not DARE speak to Putin, Xi Jinping, Kim Jong Un, or Viktor Orban the way he did to Zelenskyy today.

Trump is an absolute embarrassment to our country.

I’m still processing what we saw in the Oval Office and it’s difficult to put into words how disgusted and ashamed I am.

This was a coordinated assault on an ally to benefit a dictator and authoritarian regime. Trump and Vance aren’t just Putin’s puppets, they’re his assets.

If you enjoy a writer, artist, or any creative, please tell them you liked their work while they are still here. It will inspire them to keep creating & following their passion while they can.

Oh wow, time FLIES. I am a little nostalgic for that era of the book community!

In other news, as a treat for finishing copyedits, I started Alix E. Harrow’s newest book (The Everlasting, out this fall) and …

Y’all know how you can recognize some artists on the radio by the distinct quality of their voice instantly?

That’s how I feel about Alix’s writing. She is SO talented.

I finished copyedits of my fourth book today! 🎉🎊

Writing itself doesn’t get easier, but the process itself gets more familiar each time. Sometimes, I think back to 2019 when I was trying to imagine ever finishing even 1 book. Pretty humbling to now say I’ve finished 4. Life is neat sometimes! 🥹

Oh how neat! I’ll definitely check it out! With Medusa, there’s so much that really intrigues me about the many versions of her myth and how different poets’ real lives shaped their interpretations of her story (see Virgil lol)

So happy Print Run is back and, as usual, coming in like a flashlight in a dark storm. Really enjoyed this episode and looking forward to more! 🩷

Hello! The idea of being on another medium makes me so tired but I’m not in Twitter and Threads sort of sucks, so! Trying to find my folks here! If you’ve followed me and I haven’t followed back, give me some grace—I’m wading in and the water is cold! 😅

Is it too soon to ask for your bookish hot takes?

Mine is that readers really would be better served if “teen” and “young adult” books were put into separate age categories. 🤷🏾‍♀️

Impractical for retailers? Maybe! But the difference between 12 and 25 (the ages of characters in YA) is huge!

The way my brain turns on at night is uncanny. I can stare at a chapter I’m writing all day long, and every word will feel like pulling water from stone. Then, at 10 pm sharp, a city lights up in my head and the ideas come too fast to write them down. It is infuriating, but also magical.
