Anything that will cover them without touching them will work if they're in dirt outside. Tupperware, glasses, mugs, tin cans. You're just creating a little bubble that will trap the heat radiating from the soil around them and protect them from chilly outside air.

No touchy sides, tho

If you have plastic/ glass containers that are big enough to cover them in your recycling bin - pull them out and do it. The plants will be fine. 🫶
