Not sure if this is genius or really stupid, but I'm adding _reactions_ support to my WordPress audit log plugin. It...kinda feels right after testing it myself. To give reactions to stuff other users have done is fun!
Gah, now what? 2 hours until reset.
How to best use that 1%...?
Trying out orbstack.dev instead of Docker Desktop. Really liking it! Native app that is easy to use and also very useful. Not like the Docker Desktop app that I never figured out how to use...

I'm trying to move away from GitHub issue to just plain markdown files in Obsidian and then using Bases (help.obsidian.md/bases) to sort, filter, track, etc. Me and Claude both love markdown!
New version of Simple History is out, with some nice new things like detection of forced plugin updates (they always confuse me anyway so I'm glad they are finally logged):

A couple of times each week I do a little work on an image using the Acorn image editor for Mac. Each time I think about how awesome it is: it opens in a second and it only costs like $20! It's unbelievable good value!
Go get it now!

@nickdiego.com thanks for posting the "Migrating from WordPress to MDX" post. I am planning to do this myself, to be able to work together with Claude more easily. MDX is so cool :)
Working on custom rules and notifications for Simple History. It's gonna be awesome I think + the GUI is gonna be very easy to work with.
My book, Accessibility For Everyone, is now free and online as a website.
accessibilityforeveryone.site
The book was first published by A Book Apart in 2017 but it holds up! It covers web accessibility for designers, developers, content folks, and really everyone who works in tech.
Four WordPress apps I built with AI that I use every day
Here are four small, WordPress development-focused apps I built using AI. Each one scratches a specific itch.
Elementor did an outgoing GET request, without my permission. Without Simple History I would not have known that.

Got Claude Code to format markdown files (and some others) automatically after working with them. Took a while to understand how to get the hooks config correct.
Attaching image of the config, if anyone else is interested.
Everybody thinks 'https:// stands for 'hypertext transfer protocol secure' but it actually stands for 'head to this place, sucka' followed by a colon and two laser sounds

SPX profiling was very easy to get working (first try). Now I just have to understand what everything means.. 🤷♀️
Oh, this sounds very interesting! Lookin forward to test.
(Ok, they are sent by my own plugin so I'm a bit biased. But I do really like getting them. Here's how you can get them too: simple-history.com/features/wee...)
Every monday morning I get summary emails from my WordPress websites. I really like getting them!
