AOC: I want everybody to understand that the cuts to your health care are what’s paying for this. You get screwed over to pay a bunch of thugs in the street that are shooting mothers in the face.

The White House has ordered the US Dept. of Justice to prioritize denaturalization: voiding the citizenship of US citizens.

Who will it denaturalize? "Any" case that it "determines to be sufficiently important".

Point 10 leaves the criteria opaque and arbitrary.

Last night was the 250th anniversary of Paul Revere's midnight ride to warn the Minutemen of approaching British troops.

I want to take a moment to share an excerpt from the Declaration of Independence's grievances against King George III.

Remind you of anyone?

The House GOP just passed a budget framework that will cut Medicaid and other health care, veterans’ benefits, food assistance, and other vital programs—all to give billionaires like Elon Musk tax cuts that they don’t need or deserve.

America Is Watching the Rise of a Dual State For most people, the courts will continue to operate as usual—until they don’t.

“The trick was to find a way to keep the law going for Christian Germans who supported or at least tolerated the Nazis, while ruthlessly executing the führer’s directives against the state’s enemies, real and perceived.” www.theatlantic.com/magazine/arc...

Today is the 15th anniversary of the Affordable Care Act—which Brad Schimel led the charge to gut.

Hundreds of thousands of people would’ve lost their health insurance because of him, including those with pre-existing conditions.

Folks in Milwaukee are fired up to stop Schimel again.

As Trump tries to dismantle the Department of Education, remember that his plan to cut the corporate tax rate to 15% would give the 100 largest corporations a tax cut larger than the entire department's K-12 budget.

Really think about how twisted this all is.

Trump is lying about helping kids with brain cancer.

How do I know?

Because I know a scientist at Broad (Harvard & MIT joint project) who works on childhood brain cancer.

He has a lost all his longitudinal studies due to Trump’s funding freezes.

The top health care companies in America spent 95% of their profits to make their CEOs & stockholders obscenely rich.

How many Americans would be alive today if those companies spent $2.6 trillion on disease prevention and primary care, instead of stock buybacks and dividends?

To Pay for Trump Tax Cuts, House GOP Floats Plan to Slash Benefits for the Poor and Working Class A menu of options being circulated by congressional Republicans also includes new tax cuts for corporations and the ultrawealthy.

One GOP proposal takes aim squarely at parents raising children on their own by eliminating the “head of household” filing status to reap some $200B more in taxes over a decade from single parents and other adults caring for dependents on their own.

CDC site scrubs HIV content following Trump DEI policies The federal health agency began removing all content related to gender identity on Friday.

As Chair of the HIV/AIDS Caucus, let me be clear: erasing HIV/AIDS content from government websites helps literally no one. It endangers public health and abandons those who rely on these critical resources. Reckless and stupid.

Cultural shift strategy: the right floats an idea designed to stoke outrage ex "ASL interpreters are distracting and using up valuable resources meant for you, our base".

Influencers perpetuate the IDEA, it gets media attention, the base buys in.

Legislators can pass laws against marginalized people without fear of repercussions framing it as a mandate from their voters or a way to take the resources back to those who "deserve" them

Also want to say a bit about why things like removing accessibility page, ASL, and screen reading capabilities from the White House website matter. It feels performative, and it is. It's a coordinated effort to shift cultural norms.
