Having been in town on Paddy’s day in years! Last time was when my son was little. A friend had a business overlooking O’Connell street. Avoided the crowds!
I didn’t realize they did that. Great idea.
The local village now has a parade and it makes much more sense. Local kids represent their clubs local businesses help out. The kids love it !
I never saw the Dublin one as a kid. Just stayed home watching Darby O’Gill and Flight of the Doves. It was just bands and tractors. The Superquinn float was the only good one.

It’s because if 23 and me I had the only contact with members my birth mothers family. It was a shock for them but I finally got answers I would never have otherwise. It also gave health information I would never had discovered without dna testing.
