So much heart and wisdom in the replies here.
I hear you. Whatever works best for you!
I'm sad to see you go because I'm not ever going to join Threads, but I get it.
The Supreme Court long relied on careful, time-tested procedures to issue decisions. But secret memos by the justices, obtained by The New York Times, show how the court decided to bypass those procedures and create its modern “shadow docket.” See key takeaways: www.nytimes.com/2026/04/18/u...
I haven't seen you marked as spam but maybe it's just for people who subscribe to a particular block list?
"I have this digital agent. I call it the Gooch. You know the expression “He couldn’t find his butt with two hands and a flashlight”? That was me. It was like living half a life. A buttless half-life. Now I have the Gooch ping me my butt location. No more losing your butt in this brave new world."
Secretary of War Pete Hegs... • © • 39m The War Department is once again restoring freedom to our Joint Force. We are discarding the mandatory flu vaccine requirement, effective immediately.
General George Washington required Continental Army soldiers be inoculated for smallpox. We would not have won independence if he hadn’t.
You dumb chucklefuck.
My high school cheerleading squad did a choreographed dance to Housequake. That song is the VERY BEST.
Some of the other stories I gathered here include the time Prince invited me to his house, a glimpse at the Myst-like CD-ROM game he released in the 90s, some digital artifacts that I had the only copy of—including Prince’s own notes on his greatest hits, and the message behind his Super Bowl show.
Today marks 10 years without Prince

Considering planting a tree for earth day? 🌍
I beg you, remember that trees grow. Sometimes very big!
Please don't plant a tree that can reach 70 feet under a power line
Maybe don't plant a River Birch in a dry area (the name is a hint!)
Don't plant a tree that grows 8' wide 2' from your house

I've been sharing a bunch of excerpts from my essay series, Beyond the Altar, over on IG, and it’s time for me to get more comfortable sharing it here. this essay is where my head is still, even 1 1/2 years later.

The idea that people who take significant Covid precautions must be introverts is offensive as hell.
It’s ableist as hell. Performers, Organizers, the biggest extroverts in the world were forced to give up careers because other people wouldn’t mask. We do it because we still can’t afford COVID.
Contrast to how civilians put themselves in true danger for each other within minutes during the ICE raids these past couple months.
Isn't it "funny" how none of the commenters are responding to the evidence you're sharing. Like they can't even see it?! Ughhhhhhh.
Personally I would consider whether repeated and constant exposure to a disease known to cause brain damage and cognitive/concentration difficulties might be, you know, doing those things.
Absolutely incredible.
NASA Astronaut Reid Wiseman, who commanded Artemis II, took this footage from the far side of the Moon with his iPhone.
Watch with sound on.
Ughhhhhhh, I'm sorry to hear this!
I'm not joking when I say mRNA technology is more important than "AI" and it's a tragedy we're throwing billions into one while our government is aggressively defunding the other.
the use case for this is drone cops that can chase you where cars can't go, while the meat cops eat donuts and play it like a videogame
So ICE is helping with security, the train is $150 and FIFA won’t allow access to the parking lot, and walking to MetLife is illegal/dangerous — and if people decide to walk an hour anyway, it will be like 85 degrees with 70% humidity. Sounds like a World Cup for the books!
Child: I know your name. Mamdani.
Obama: What’s his first name?
Child: Mayor.
If Mamdani and Obama singing The Wheels On The Bus with a group of tiny kids doesn't spark some sort of joy in you, I've got nothing for you.
So the whole thing comes down to the pope denying that Jesus was pro-war? Is this why I keep seeing reports that Leo and Trump are "feuding"? Yes, but that framing, which is all over the media, is totally wrong. Leo and Trump aren't "feuding," and Trump did not "hit back," "strike back," or "return fire" against the pope. Trump has repeatedly launched unprovoked military actions that he and his lieutenants have attempted to cloak in the language of Christian righteousness. The pope has said that Christian righteousness is incompatible with unprovoked war. Trump has publicly mocked, derided, and attacked the pope; the pope hasn't attacked Trump at all. A feud requires the participation of two people. If you say, "We should respect the sovereignty of each individual, for we are all children of God," and I say, "Fuck you, you dirty hippie," what we have is not a feud. What we have is a principled person trying to have a conversation with an asshole.

Crucial thread.
It's rape. It's not SA. It's not grape. It's not an emoji. It's rape. If tens of millions of men can go online and share notes about how to do it, we can use the actual word. No more sugar coating, bypassing, or sidestepping. It's rape. Post by Travor Boehm
I don’t know him
I don’t follow him

I appreciate this
This is also why they maintained middleclasses; to buffer them from the horribly oppressed groups.
The middleclasses did the work of squashing any revolt from the marginalized. Now we are seeing that they don't need those overseers anymore. Everyone can now be oppressed.
