My brain keeps making the joke “Fan Studies = Carcinisation” and I think it’s technically an interesting point about consumer citizens and “everyone’s a fan” and participatory cultures making fan studies into an example of academic convergent evolution but also I’m stuck on this image in my head
These don’t exist in the uk and they’re honestly one of the foods I miss the most I crave them constantly

Tomorrow I’m printing out my six analysis chapters and finding a way to make them go from 78k words to 70k… totally doable I’m sure
I know it’s a good problem to have but sometimes seeing my supervisors in every acknowledgement section, cited everywhere, on every back cover, etc makes me feel like I’m in the panopticon
