To @katalyst.bsky.social a big thank you - you had a wonderful project. I'm sure it survive somehow!

So this will be my post today. Thanks for joining me here. The stuff I usually post at @nes-tor.bsky.social may be not interesting. I follow many political accounts and I just grow grumpy all the time here. If you want to join me, I'm happy about it. Perhaps there are other things I could focus on

Plentiful of lakes and brooks a lovely day out. Those curvy hills were made during the last ice age. There was a bigger one taller than the Berlin Fernsehturm. But the ice was too heavy. The soil became moist and the ice during the last event transformed the landscape.

Great! So happy he enjoys music. My 4-year-old nephew has a good feeling for music but by sister seems to have other priorities for him... Hopefully he can get his way through.

Later I'll be posting pictures. It won't be as beautiful as in spring or summer though. What are your plans for today?

As for Berlin, also part of the territory, according to existing archives Berlin was named for the first time in 1244 and the sister Stadt Cölln in 1237. (There was a big fire.) Archeological funds confirm the double city had existed a few centuries already. Much older are Spandau and Köpenick.

Margraviate of Brandenburg - Wikipedia

The Margraviate's capital was Brandenburg an der Havel, south west of Potsdam. If you want to read about this region's past Wiki a good start.

Good morning, today I'm hiking with an old friend. We are going to Märkische Schweiz. Even though the tallest point is 124m, it's so hilly that it was labeled Switzerland a century ago. Mark is much older: the Margraviate of Brandenburg founded in 1157 by Albrecht the Bear it survived until Prussia

I'd put a diversion gate, the other end of the station has got one, so it he'd rather had his nose touching the tram instead. Perhaps a mirror could d do too to see what's behind the tress for both sides. There are quite a few possibilities, but Germany efficiency doesn't apply here.

So you open up the window and see this marvellous village?

There were shrubs right up to the crossing they removed the shrubs days later. I don't know railways are also visible and many train accidents happen. The numbers of falalities are going down because it is being invested more in except whee I live.

I do enjoy the view. I don't have a balcony, but big window panes. So I bought these stools. Window wide open and sit there whilst enjoying a cuppa or a pint looking at the distance and not some building a few yards away. By the way I have a telescope...... psssssst! 🤫🤫

Hello!
Just went up the 18th floor & took a few pictures you can see Müggelberg behind which is around 20/30 km distance. I don't face South or West so it's OK not to have a fan or aircon.

There are many examples everywhere Gràcia in Barcelona, Greenwich Village in New York, Dulwich Village in London. These places expanded gradually, but here it remained unchanged for centuries. It was cheaper for East Berlin to build these Platten than renovating existing housing damaged by the War

I remember a documentary on the telly. Some kids and a teacher were on a school bus driving through Alt-Marzahn to see the new building sites just outside the villabe. The teacher said the GDR was leaving behind the old Germany: moving from 1-2 storey buildings to 18- or 21-storey blocks.

Hi everyone! Living in Marzahn one cannot forget the village. When you're walking around Marzahn for the first time and end up here you might feel you need to check the calendar.

In this case its official name is UnbezahlBar. Unbezahlbar is something too expensive, or there is no amount of money you can buy it. So it's a network of people who help each other, so valuable you can't pay for it and it works like a 'bar' ? They offer free coffee too and sometimes some cake.

Do you have a favourite location where you get help from or offer some? There is a meeting place in Marzahn where they work with wood. I am terrible at even sawing a straight on a piece of wood. I think I'd be more disruptive than helpful. 🤣

On my way back home I strolled around the centre of Marzahn-Mitte. As the people who live here aren't economically privileged there is a pretty good community network. At Unbezahlbar I once sought social advice and in retun I donated some shirts I no longer fitted in (ouch! 😱) A few examples below.

Definitely, and also some drivers love to speed in that area and you have to hold tight when it halts at the stop.

I haven't said he was not negligent. It speaks for itself, only people in my area don't ask for safety, 'selber Schuld' is enough for them.

What’s your take on this? How many accidents with public transport happen in your area? This wasn’t the only incident here, but the worst apparently. I was so shocked that I stood with the mourners and laid flowers at the stop. It was harrowing to see their defeated expressions. RIP young man.
