Checking for my next WH40k army project. Guess that could be fun to play if its ready painted...

Just a small side project to paint something else: Orks for my future Ork Gang. Those are Orks from 3rd or 5th edition starterbox.
They are fun to paint, because you can play around to get them chaotically colored. And they really need to look dirty and covered in dust :)
More and more ghosts are ready to rumble... 10 of 20 standard Nighthaunts troops are finished plus one endless spell. My chances are good to have a finished army ready just in time for 4th edition.
My "general" is finally done and I really like the look of the skeleton horse with ghostly material all around it. The more I paint Nighthauts minis, the more I like the way they could be painted.
Its blue, but its no Ultra Marine. Its the Librarian / Scriptor in Terminator Armor of my Space Marine Chapter. I really like this model, its one of the nicer ones from the Space Marines. Lets see how it performs because its the first time I use on in my army list.
I was looking for inspirations for an inquistor cosplay and found that old codex in the basement :)
I think this was the army that was replaced by the Adeptus Sororitas one or two editions later...
Finished Mancrusher No.7. Now I need to finalize the Behemoth (the big one) and my 9 "minis" for 2000 points Sons of Behemath are ready to fight.
Yes, I found some Chaos Terminator Marines that would fit perfectly to my funproject for an Emperors Children army.
These files were created with Eight Legs Miniatures together with Across the Realms.
I updated my army list for my Space Marine troops and decided to add a Techmarine. I found this one I painted 20 years ago. Lets see if I will do some paintjob or only a rebasing...
This is the old Iron Priest from the Space Wolves.
I wanted to see if I can use 30k Tanks for my 40k Space Marines, because I like most of those 30k Tanks much more than the 40k ones. And I can say yes, for Rhino and Predator its working because they have exactly the same size. Compared with the old version of a Razorback. both wip
Hastur and his followers from the first Cthulhu Death May Die Box. Monsters are nearly all colored now. Next to start with the player characters.
Firevampires and a snail like creature from the first box of Cthulhu Death May Die. I really like that monsters.
Just easy and fast paintjobs to have some more color on the gameboard.

Monsters done quick and nice. Just a bit drybrushing, shading and a last drybrushing step for last highlights. Quick and easy, most time needed here: wait for drying of the shading colors.

I painted 2 culstists for Chuthulu Death May Die as a test. And yes, there are 8 to follow, because I like the result :)
Working on my Nighthaunts Army. A unit of Spirit Hosts with alternative models from Ghamak (3D-Printed) #ageofsigmar #warhammer #tabletop #wargaming #nighthaunts
First Hellhound for my Astra Militarum army is finished with base coloring. Second one is waiting to get painted and than I will finish both of them with Oil wash, battle damage and final details...

Some images of the second mega battle we made on Brecht Fest in Augsburg. That day it was around 9000 points on each side and Chaos got reinforcements with Traiters from the Astra Militarum and Death Watch...

Some impressions from our Warhammer 40k Mega Battle last Sunday at Brecht Fest in Augsburg. Was fun and nice to move that summary of troops. 7000 points Chaos against 10000 points Imperium, but Chaos was not that bad and put some pressure on the Imperial troops. :)
Just wanted to check my troops for Sunday at Brecht Fest in Augsburg. One big Warhammer 40k battle with 7000 points each side. My chaos troops, a mix of Slaanesh and Tzeentch demons, Thousand Sons, Chaos Knights and Dark Mechanicum are ready the fight imperial forces. Just 2 minis missing on here.
Troops are nearly all painted for the big battle on Sunday. 6 cultists are missing some final colors and 1 tank needs to be painted. So looks good that all is tabletop ready for the big 7000 points battle (each side) at Brecht Fest in Augsburg.
WIP: Base coloring for my Lord of Change is done. Next steps: add Shaders, Highlights and Details and a nice base...
Work is going on with my Daemon Army with some allies. Armiger has all main colors, my third Keeper is prepared for the last steps and lots of Horrors are more or less finished and my traitor legion is getting some colors too...
Just recieved the printed versions of the Warsurge Rulebook and Compendium. I did not read the PDFs yet, because I wanted to wait for the final printed version. First look: I like the very old school presentation and layout. Can´t wait to test it soon.
WIP: Working on an alternative Mini for my Chaos Spawns. Its based on the Allstein Models from Bestiarum Miniatures and I will use them as Dark Mechanicum. #wh40k #warhammer #chaos #mechanicum
Yesterday we made a test match to see if our ideas for the upcoming WH40k event work like we want it. 6000 point Chaos vs 6000 points Imperium. Some good learnings and lots of fun. Can´t wait to do this with the final setup.
Upgrade two Allstein Minis (Bestiarium Miniatures) for my "Dark Mechanicus" army to use them as Chaos Spawn. Next step, give them a base a paintjob.
Testpainting of the first pink Horror is made. Maybe fixing some final details but good to go to do his first fight at the weekend...
And additional 2000 points of Tzeench Troops. There is still some more work to do, but should be ready in time for the Warhammer 40k Mega Battle too. 6000 points Choas vs 6000 points Imperial Knights and Space Marines...
Working on 4000 points of Slaanesh Troops for the upcoming Warhammer 40k Apocalypse-Battle end of February. Can´t wait to see them in action.
