I would pay more to not have AI thrown in my face by every app in existence 50 times a day jfc.

I didn't see any vampires walking through the Valley headed west down Ventura Boulevard
But I did catch a nice sunset after the rain.

I think creativity in the face of all the world throws at us, is it's own powerful act. I'm borrowing from Chuck Tingle here, but I draw strength from the idea that to create anything is to face the universe and say, "I exist." That's the greatest, loudest proclamation anyone can make.
I endorse this wholeheartedly.
I had THE OMEN and THE HATEFUL EIGHT, and knew Morricone was the composer for that one, but the rest stumped me this week.
I hope he hydrated and replenished his electrolytes #sarcasm
For me, it was a year of living in Japan. I remember walking at night and not having to worry about anyone having a gun. The relief I felt was strange and unexpected, never having lived any other way. That and socialized medicine opened my eyes. If we had that here... gosh.
Data is pretty fun in this one! Which is always true, but still!
I haven't seen 1941. Also The BFG, Amistad, Empire of the Sun or A.I. I did watch Sugarland Express a few years ago. It's really good.
Perfectly clear to me and not uncommon. I would usually say it/hear it as "oh, it was murder," or "ah/aw, it was murder."
If you see this, quote with a picture of you in glasses.
These are my clear glasses, which I use for close up work, like in front of the computer.
I wear glasses all the time because I can't see the big "E" on the eye chart.
Slicing apples, before image. The image is washed out, shot in log.
The same image, but with vibrant colors.
I'm just an amateur colorist, but I color corrected some footage I shot over Christmas and I'm really happy with how they turned out. These are me in my Mom's kitchen at the ranch where I grew up.
"There! There wolf!"
On pg 70 of this draft of my survival thriller LANDSLIDE (spoiler: there's a landslide). Did 60 pages/3 months while working, 10 pages/2days while not. And the pages are so much better. Almost like unrestrained capitalism is a bloodsucker feeding on your time & energy.
Nah. Can't be it. #scriptsky
But billionaires can now afford smaller yachts to transport them to their bigger yachts, so who am I -- a poor farm boy with a master's degree, a small rented apartment, and no foreseeable path to retirement -- to complain?
Also paid off a large credit card debt that had dogged me for a decade (a debt I never would have had if not for my student loans) and all of my higher interest student loans. So, most of what I earned over the last five years went to debt reduction and... it feels like being an indentured servant.
For reasons I haven't had to pay health insurance for the last 3 months & student loan repayments have been frozen in the courts for the last couple of years, so I haven't made those payments either. For first time in my life I've ever been able to build an emergency fund. Probably a coincidence.
Poorly! I am prone to blunders, much as in real life. Thank you for asking : )
O'Brien and Riker hold up a part of the hull from a NASA shuttle. It says NASA on it and there's a charred American flag underneath the lettering.
Riker, Data, and Worf stand in a black void. Above them, a terrible green storm.
A skeleton!
Data prepares to roll the dice.
🖖NEW EPISODE🖖While investigating a doomed NASA craft, Riker, Data, & Worf get stuck in a novel and need Picard to read its Wikipedia page to help them get out.
It's TNG's "The Royale." @cmarciel.bsky.social returns as Are We Sure It Was Bad? Month continues.

Is this the nerdiest thing I do? No.
Is it the most fun? Maybe.

My show wrapped Friday. 1st day of unemployment I: wrote for 2 hours, scanned a roll of old family negatives, cleaned and reassembled my work station, got in 7500 steps, applied for unemployment, lifted weights for 30 mins, made dinner. Now gonna watch Barney Miller, play chess (badly) then read.
I suspect the Pope sounds "woke" to many Christian conservatives because the US is steeped in prosperity theology, where the point of worship is to deliver health and wealth to believers. Thus, "feed the hungry" and "show mercy for the poor" sounds needlessly political and "woke."
This account never misses.
Hey! I might be on this one. I'd bet my solution to Fermat's Last Theorem on it.
Try heating it up directly under the adhesive with a lighter or a candle, then use a credit card to scrape the sticker off when the glue turns gooey. I say this like I know, but it's worth a try : )
There are some cool videos floating around of how they did the giant snake in Conan the Barbarian. I think that one looks so great.
These guys are bumbling fools enabling fascism.
I read it twice in one week while working nights on a game show (another high point in my illustrious post production career), and he breaks all kinds of rules. I don't think ever even describes the main character. And still: absolute magic.
