Dear NBA,

I KNOW it is all about the money and you don’t care about our convenience, but this having to use 3 different streaming services to watch playoff games each night is, (and I say this with all the love I can for the game,) complete horseshit.

It's the sort of lackluster game I was concerned about after that blowout. Although things are looking a bit better ... we'll see

Just spoke with my 70-something parents in Maine, and they are a bit miffed about the game being on Peacock, a streaming channel they've never heard of

Guess it's the Bruins for them tonight!

Trump Is Said to Be in Talks to Send Afghans Who Aided U.S. Forces to Congo

Really shameful stuff, and I would think people would be more reluctant to help the U.S. military because of stories like this

DOGE broke something at the VA. Massachusetts veterans are paying the price. - The Boston Globe Many veterans say an exodus of medical staff has resulted in longer waits for treatment and has forced them to go outside the VA for care.

"In more than two dozen interviews, veterans from Greater Boston to the hill towns of Western Massachusetts said it has become increasingly difficult to access treatment."

Making life harder for veterans who use the VA is one of DOGE's big accomplishments

"The Unknown Girl" is regarded by many as a rare misstep for the Dardennes, but lesser Dardenne is still pretty good, and I was thoroughly engaged by the story and characters. As always, the brothers raise interesting

Watched the 2016 film "The Unknown Girl" from the Belgian filmmaking duo the Dardenne brothers. Like all of their films, this is a work of realism that's concerned with moral and ethical questions. It's about a young doctor who refuses to answer her door after hours, and then finds out the woman

4 Screenshots from the movie "The Fog" (1980): First, an older man in a sailor's cap sits by a campfire on a beach at night, telling a story to children seated around the fire; subtitle reads, "One hundred years ago, on the 21st of April...". Second, the same scene continues with the fire casting dramatic shadows on the storyteller’s face and subtitle reads, "out on the waters around Spivey Point...". Third, the fire burns brightly in the center as the man gestures while speaking; subtitle reads, "a small clipper ship drew toward land." Fourth, a close-up of the man’s face illuminated by the firelight as he stares intensely; subtitle reads, "Suddenly, out of the night, the fog rolled in."

The Jackson estate can't hide Leaving Neverland from those who've already seen it A suppressive legal battle turned the moving Sundance documentary Leaving Neverland into a ghost haunting the Michael Jackson biopic.

"Jackson’s estate tried, and continues to try, to bury the full picture of the superstar it seeks to glorify. But his handlers can never truly erase the truth we saw with our own eyes, or quiet the shockwaves that still reverberate from it."

Watched the 1980 comedic spy caper "Hopsotch," a very enjoyable lark starring Walter Matthau as a CIA operative who retaliates against his boss after he's abruptly demoted. Glenda Jackson plays his lover/partner in crime, and it's a really fun pairing.

I smiled all through this.
