"eating around the table" scene from Alien. you know what happens next.
all the crew members have exited the vehicle, feeling well, and are even eating a little food.

the internet has poisoned me such that I thought you meant the frog
An extremely funny thing about retro rereleases that use unlicensed emulators is that you are basically committing the exact same crime (using software outside of the terms of its license) that has you so scared of downloading roms in the first place but now someone has monetized it.
Violating an emulator's terms of use for your commercial product is really, really gross. That it's happened to endrift at least twice now is awful.
Okay, it's time for me to make my occasional rant.
I don't like stirring the pot in communities but sometimes people pull stunts I can't endorse and have to advise others to exercise caution.
I'll make this a thread so that if you want to disregard this it's pretty easy. Here we go...

Yeah, `dd` doesn’t work with mine; always reads 0. Retrospect works for some reason! From what I’ve read, might have something to do with dynamic vs. static block sizes. 🤷🏻♂️
I’ll look into r-dat, thanks. Haven’t heard of it before.
What software are you using to digitize? I have a similarly sized archive of DDS tapes I’m slowly working through… with the Retrospect software originally used to write them. Hoping there’s a solution to do a “raw” read and then forensics later, but from all my experiments, Retrospect is “special”…
Lucky you— The Journeyman Project 4 comes out on Mac, PC, and PS5 later this year after over 25 years in development!
Not sure if joking. You’d be fun as hell to watch laserdiscs with 🤘🏻

It doesn’t matter if you’re interested in the MacBook Neo or not; this is the kind of essay that makes you think about the potential of technology and the joys of exploration.
Stay awhile!
Transfer Point is a point-and-click adventure game for Macintosh. It was made in World Builder and MacPaint, and it fits on an 800K floppy disk. It also has an egret. Coming soon for most web browsers, or as a download to play on your classic Mac. robotspacer.software/transfer-poi... #MARCHintosh
