Good weekend all, I’m trying to compile a list of (short, like SHORT short) first person/3D art games, ideally with land art or megaliths or otherwise cool landscape stuff. Any and all suggestions very welcome.

Postcardware.net

Are there any game devs today doing postcardware, where a person sends a postcard if they enjoy the game or software instead of money?

Learned that I am being laid off from Heart Machine, and will be leaving the studio later this month.

Do you need a contractor? I've got a track record of leading scope-friendly script revisions late in dev. I have also done a lot of consulting on new IPs and pitches/demos. Feel free to DM me!

The Forest and the Trees by Jill Murray An upcycled game about finding ways to move on and finish art.

I took a Bitsy game I never finished, about a maple syrup heist, and turned it into a poetic memoir about finishing things, for a @gamepoems.bsky.social submission. I'm told it will be shared this weekend at the Winchester Poetry Festival in the UK, which I'm excited about. Takes ~5 mins to play.

What if a work of fiction were more like a space – something readers could wander, struggle against, push at the boundaries of?

Digital games let us weave interactivity, spatiality and friction into storytelling.

In this class, we’ll use Adam Le Doux’s Bitsy – a free browser-based game tool – to create interactive narratives. If you love storytelling and want experiment with new tools to tell new kinds of stories, this class is for you.

New York Time:
