Anyone in the #ttrpg, #miniatures, #maker, #crafting, #Warhammer, etc spaces, it's time to call/email/etc your reps. Imagine, you load an stl to print up a space marine model and the censorware falsely tags a bolter as a firearm component. Beyond that, it will censor journalists and researchers too.

My latest, for @techpolicypress.bsky.social
When I read Alex Karp’s book last year, I thought it should’ve been a tweet. Now Palantir has turned it into a tweet-length manifesto, which could’ve just been a picture of a MAGA hat.
Karp is… not a subtle thinker.

I'm having a hard time describing why I enjoyed this so very very much. Wonderful and weird in the best ways.
Dan Berger is awesome and this is an excellent article. The implications aren't just for wine. E.g the loss of nuance in search of high scores Reminds me of The Score by C. Thi Nguyen @add-hawk.bsky.social, a great book #wine #napavalley #winesucksnow napavalleyfocus.substack.com/p/wine-chron...
They have a weird customer base. It's like, different generations of the same people at the same time. SF AI bros and then Marin County octogenarian fly fishing enthusiasts. Chances are solid that the former become the latter. A journey through time in All Birds...
Vance converted to Catholicism because of his daddy Peter Thiel...
The only people I know personally who wear All Birds are people who unquestioningly invest in AI companies because it's AI and every time I see them they ask me if I've been using AI. So, yeah, totally on brand...
Here's mine. Stone Roses. I Am the Resurrection. 3:39. Full-on Rahad Jackson face every time. youtu.be/vY9g-PgSiGA?...

If that woman had only been to the sigmarxism sub on reddit, which is a wholesome place full of trans folks posting photos of their warhammer minis painted in trans flag colors...
If it plays better than Battletech, sign me up!
I love Dan Toomey. He's the best 20th century investigative reporter on the internet. youtu.be/0tLEszJs7hc?...
Crowstep.
Well done. The weathering looks great. Also like the Solar Auxilia models to highlight the scale.
I'm un/lucky enough to live in a place with two old Eureka lemon trees that fruit year round. Which therefore means we're asking people to take them while feeling guilty that we're not juicing/preserving enough.
16 Horsepower reunion show and the only neu-Neurosis performance of the year/who knows. I've never been a multiday festival person but this could do it. Baroness, Yob, Enslaved, Agolloch, etc. holy crap. www.fitmfest.com
I thought this was from The Onion.
It's this kind of mind numbing busy work that I would hate to assign to a human, even a trainee or intern. Only someone who believes in corporate hazing of younger generations would see value in it. So, ok, yeah, give the absolute soulless shit work to the robots.
Welp. I finally found some busy work for "AI". I'm asking it to parse through data and find one more point to add to each entry It's boring busy work that would take lots of human hours searching the web. I'll have to sample a % of it to see if there are errors but it should be less total work?
Exactly. Let things stay dead. It's sad that hardly anyone wants to risk coming up with new stuff.
Same with the last scrape of batter from the bowl that results in a weird oblong but terribly cute pancake.
Nothing will inspire a population more to fight in the streets for regime change than foreign powers bombing their children's schools...
#thankstrump Except this time there is a factual, causal relationship between rising gas prices and the orange guy's unjustified war of choice on Iran...
Tim Powers is an incredibly efficient writer. There aren't any overwrought paragraphs on world-building or character description. It's a ripping yarn of high adventure with a strong foundation on the history of the era.
My #rpg group has moved on from a three-year Pathfinder mega adventure path and we've now gone simpler, shorter and more piraty with Pirate Borg. As this was a listed influence on the game I went and read it non-stop over the last week. #pirates www.powells.com/book/on-stra...
While it's about Americans in the war, it gives a good overview of the conflict. Mostly about the anti-fascist side but a few influential American fascists (looking at you Texaco) are profiled. Well-written and heartbreaking. www.harpercollins.com/products/spa...
In an effort to be more accountable around reading more, I'm gonna post recent finished books. This one was an excellent view pm a horribly tragic war with long-lasting influence. It's also yet another tragic tale about factions on the left not being able to get their s*** together.
