AI therapy chatbots: what they mean for trauma-informed services Why the Dartmouth “Therabot” trial should make us rethink how we support victims of sexual assault, domestic abuse and other trauma

My latest piece explores the practical applications and genuine risks of AI in trauma support. Because ultimately, the measure of trauma-informed services isn't who or what provides them. It's whether they help survivors recover.

Doesn't trust have relevance in two ways. One in the sense of people feeling like the state helps them or surveils them. The second in the sense of government services contributing to people's overall trust in democracy. The experience of government matters

In the past I have used a personal kanban board or an excel version of a set of lists under different headings (e.g Today, back burner, to do, come back to next week)

Anyone pledging that government digital services should be as good as the private sector should know that I've spent less than 5 mins successfully ordering a new driving licence and so far about 15 trying and failing to update my travel insurance policy

The Death of “Deliverism” Economic policy success isn't enough. We need a more holistic approach to addressing people’s fears and anxieties.

Have you ever slipped your driver’s licence into your phone case and thought, ‘there must be a better way?’ Lost your passport on a night out?

Do topics like AI deepfakes, biometrics, wallets, age verification and inclusion interest you?

📢 Opinions please! What do we call it in #servicedesign when we create services that solve a whole problem for users? The action of taking what's been set up separately and collecting it all into a new service that doesn't finish by sending you elsewhere. I dislike "integrated", so corporate!
