Surgery to remove the #pancreaticcancer tumour is an essential treatment for a potentially cure. The most common surgery for treating pancreatic cancer involves removing parts of the pancreas, bile duct and the small intestine; known as a ‘Whipple procedure’. Find out more: bit.ly/43N5DZe #PCAM 💜

Pancreatic Cancer is one of the less survivable cancers and has arguably the worst outcomes of all solid tumour cancers. In the UK, about 10,500 people are diagnosed with pancreatic cancer each year. @natcan-news.bsky.social @pancreaticcanuk.bsky.social #PancreaticCancerAwarenessMonth #PCAM
NPaCA is one of ten audits which sits within the family of national audits @natcan-news.bsky.social. Each audit is led by a multidisciplinary team of clinical experts & senior academics to ensure that we ask the right questions about cancer care and treatment #pancreaticcancer #PCAM 💜
