I started my preparation for the recertification of the AWS DevOps Engineer Pro exam. I decided to use Cantrill's course. So far, so good. I like how deep and practical it is. Compared to other popular options, I compared the content: Cantrill > CloudAcademy > ACloudGuru > TutorialsDojo.

I spent more time with ElasticSearch and OpenSearch. I discovered that the problem is not the technology but the requirements. Understanding the requirements is crucial before implementation. I have just registered online for Re:Invent. Why do I need to register for the event twice with BuilderID? So, strange and misleading.

I agree but it removes the burden of writing code. Plus, it shifts the focus towards infrastructure code, not implementation one.

I think it is better than before but, obviously, they could ask engineers more about their needs. As an intermediate state - it is good.

Reusable types with JSDoc are a blast! I am still working with the customer who has the codebase in JavaScript. I am making improvements and refactoring by adding JSDoc and type definitions. I stumbled upon the issue with the same types I needed in various files to make my functions small. 🧵 (1/2)

I am registering at #AWS IQ platform. It is worth to mention a couple things if you want to do this also. Requirements:
- separate non-admin AWS user
- eligible location (mostly EU and US)
- AWS Marketplace registration
- IQ verification with a call. If you fancy showing your ID to the camera
