Question to #AWS certified folks. My DevOps Pro certificate is going to expire on January 18. Will it be possible to be re-certified if I book January 16 and pass it?

Thanks! That's a helpful article. I will take a look, definitely.

Thanks for a reminder! What do you mean by annoying? I would be glad to hear some tips.

I started my preparation for the recertification of the AWS DevOps Engineer Pro exam. I decided to use Cantrill's course. So far, so good. I like how deep and practical it is. Compared to other popular options, I compared the content: Cantrill > CloudAcademy > ACloudGuru > TutorialsDojo.

Interesting summary!

Continuing with the keynote. Did I get it right that #Canva has made the best ever API/SDK ads for developers? The tool is just great. There is something big to check there.

I think we all live in a post-Silicon Valley TV series world. There were so many jokes about our current world, which I was thinking about recently. Then, Werner’s #AWS Re: Invent talk had an intro entirely in the series' style. Is it time to rewatch?

Amazon Q Developer is in tune with the latest announcements made at the main keynote from Matt Garman at re:Invent 2024.

That's something! Wow!

I spent more time with ElasticSearch and OpenSearch. I discovered that the problem is not the technology but the requirements. Understanding the requirements is crucial before implementation. Adding more strict filters will not help even with the best data. Have you had this issue? #BuildingInPublic

Upgrading: Migrating from Vite | Next.js Learn how to migrate your existing React application from Vite to Next.js.

The continuation of Amplify with React re-platforming. I want a super-fast website server-side generated. That’s why default Vite is not an option. So, thanks to the documentation - I could do it. Now, I need to figure out the routing. #BuildingInPublic nextjs.org/docs/app/bui...

I have just registered online for Re:Invent. Why do I need to register for the event twice with BuilderID? So, strange and misleading.

I agree but it removes the burden of writing code. Plus, it shifts the focus towards infrastructure code, not implementation one.

I think it is better than before but, obviously, they could ask engineers more about their needs. As an intermediate state - it is good.

Thanks @fabridinapoli.bsky.social, N26 people and others for the great event! I think we need more of the hands-on sessions like that. The world would be a better place in which applications are built according to the ideas of domain-driven design!

I think this is a step toward making CloudWatch Insights more approachable. Especially together with AWS Q generating requests.

Getting into Domain-Driven Design with the workshop on Context mapping and team topologies. It’s very inspiring so far!

Could you explain what does it mean for people who missed 2018?😀

I think this is a fantastic start! Keep it up! I learned so many skills with this approach. Meditation could be a great pairing as well.

Here is the solution attached. The first file will be our type declaration. The second one is the consumer. You are exporting an empty JS object. Then, either with import or require syntax, one could reuse types. #BuildingInPublic #nodejs (2/2)

Reusable types with JSDoc are a blast! I am still working with the customer who has the codebase in JavaScript. I am making improvements and refactoring by adding JSDoc and type definitions. I stumbled upon the issue with the same types I needed in various files to make my functions small. 🧵 (1/2)

I will be honest: There are many cases for support there. Plus, 90% of openings are horribly written.

Awesome - thanks!

I am registering at #AWS IQ platform. It is worth to mention a couple things if you want to do this also. Requirements:
- separate non-admin AWS user
- eligible location (mostly EU and US)
- AWS Marketplace registration
- IQ verification with a call. If you fancy showing your ID to the camera

I see so many people are posting the same content from LinkedIn. What kind of content do you like to see here related to #aws?

Too many repeat the same thing - sleep, nutrition, and physical activities. But this is not always the case, even if it could be a good start.

I heard about it so many times. A good reminder.

He also recently published a book about slow productivity. Looks like it is an interesting one about achieving without burn out.
