I have written to the minister to ask for financial help for the Great Western Air Ambulance Charity and its Mid Anglian counterpart . They urgently need funding for projects but they have to raise all the money themselves. Thank you to the regional MPs who have signed my letter.

I put it to the PM that the Foreign Office must have been under pressure from someone to override the vetting outcome. I got another non-answer - that’s 3 in 8 days!

Thank you to Marcus Pont, CEO of Domin Engineering in Pucklechurch for showing me around the factory and sharing his concerns about the impact of Government policy. It was fascinating to see the high tech 3D metal printers and robots at work.

I pulled the winning raffle tickets when I visited The Memory Cafe at Doynton. It provides support for people living with dementia and their carers. The cafe runs on the first Thursday of each month from 2pm - 4pm at Doynton Village Hall

One of the most enjoyable events of the year - the Easter Bonnet competition at Kingsgate Park. Glorious weather too! The only difficult part of the day was picking the winners with Alan Monaghan, the Deputy Mayor of Yate.

I was honoured to be asked to open the new African Forest area at the Bristol Zoo Project. I cut the ribbon with Roma Wells, presenter of the BBC Travel Programme who was filming for a new episode. The new gorilla house is brilliant, I will be back with my big camera!

I was delighted to officially open the new manafacturing unit at Ingenia in Yate. It’s one of the world’s largest producers of ID credential cards, from hotel room access cards to national identity cards. It's a family owned, local success story

I have met representatives of the Civil Service Pensions Alliance who are supporting those whose Civil Service pensions have been unacceptably delayed. I have raised this debacle in the Commons and will continue to push the government to help those affected.

I met Cash Access UK, the organisation dealing with the Thornbury Banking Hub. I’m told there are no plans for a Hub in Yate as there are two banks still open there. One will be assessed automatically if all banks close.
