it is based on WHATWG URL, which tracks with application/x-www-form-urlencoded (i.e. how <form> fields are handled on the web)

we're in the process of rolling this back on our end temporarily to mitigate impact for you.

The Atmosphere is a new open network.
The features:

- Your account works on all atmosphere apps
- You can switch to a new provider with no fuss
- Easy to make your own apps on it
- Works great with personal websites

And, Bluesky is an atmosphere app.

i am all application/json! pretty sure the at:// in the href will do what we need here. there is a reason we don't encounter these funky +json mime types ubiquitously as everyday devs. the interop story there is not as friendly as one might expect!

Some very exciting news - it looks like the working group for AT Protocol at the IETF has been approved! (though not formalized in the datatracker just yet)

This is a big milestone in the standards process. But is also just the start of the actual process - years of meetings & work ahead!

Working to Decentralize FedCM - AT Protocol Bluesky Social PBC have given a grant to Emelia Smith, an Invited Expert with the FedID Working Group, to work on FedCM with the goal of making FedCM really work for the decentralized web.

We're so excited to support @thisismissem.social's work bringing FedCM to the open social web!

there aren't many folks who can bring such a full picture to the W3C on decentralized login the way @thisismissem.social will be able to.

this is great news for atproto re: steps towards a browser-native login experience, and other ecosystems will benefit too. i will be following along closely!
