The other rip off to avoid is "we insure your pet for life". We paid a higher premium for 4 years only to find that after a single claim they more than doubled the premium if we wanted to keep the cover. Over 4yrs they'd already had the cost of the treatment off us.

We stopped using pet insurance because of the daft exclusions they add, along with a premium hike, after you've made a claim. Some are so vague and wide, like excluding the dog's entire skin after an ear infection, that they can be used to avoid almost any claim.

I don't recall it setting that slowly, more like minutes. Have you tried butterscotch Angel Delight on Arctic Roll? (Or vanilla ice cream if you can't still get Arctic Roll.)

Only missed one flight, though. It was when you could check-in for domestic flights up to 30min before boarding but they'd changed security so it was taking an hour to get from check-in to gate.

When I used to fly a lot for work I found the biggest problem, especially with Heathrow, was judging the time needed to get there. I had to allow 4 hours to get to Heathrow because of M25 unpredictability yet early one Sunday got there in 1½ hours.

Isn't this how we ended up with Maclean, Burgess, Philby and Blunt giving our secrets to the Russians?
"Oh, no need to vet them, knew them at Cambridge."

That's my experience of almost every voice activated device I've tried. Worst was our current car. I'd decided to see if the tech had improved, followed the voice training instructions and the first time I tried to use it on the road it responded "play CD", which was odd in a car with no CD player.

Thought Reform claimed to be the party that's going to *save* taxpayers' money.
Oh wait, once they've made the NHS insurance based they can use that money to fund expensive racism projects.

Travelodge's claim that the discussion about changing rooms because of an air con problem led to another keycard being issued suggests they're happy to put you into a room another customer has already reported a fault in.

How can their systems allow a key card to be issued to an occupied room without querying it?

If you don't insist AIs are in the office during working hours they'll only be skiving off creating dangerous cyborg warriors or nude pictures of pop singers.

No, the people waving the St George's flags in the picture have hair, aren't fat slobs and, most unusual of all, are smiling.

Well it's certainly not reasonable thinking. I can't understand how anyone can blame everyone in a country for their government's actions but to blame everyone in the world of a particular religion for the actions of one government or organisation is just bonkers.

Never understood why it is that when Israel does bad things, Jews everywhere suffer and when a predominantly Muslim country does something it's an excuse for Islamophobia everywhere, yet when predominantly Christian Serbia engaged in ethnic cleansing it was Serbs not Christians who got the kickback.

Just remember most butterflies and moths rely on what fastidious gardeners call weeds for caterpillar food, so there's a good reason for not being too over-enthusiastic about weeding. That's my excuse, anyway.

The Waitrose magazine used to have a good selection of practical recipes but now it has junk articles like this and every recipe has to contain chillis, a trendy flavour mix or both.

But she still has a point. Someone suffering life changing injuries at the hands of an uninsured driver in the UK won't have to worry about medical costs but it's unlikely they'll get the compensation they'll need to help with any special needs for the rest of their lives as quickly as they should.

Too many of these idiots think insurance is only to pay for car repairs. Unless a magistrate tells them on sentencing, they don't realise it also protects them from the potentially huge cost of damages they'll have to fund if they kill or maim someone. More needs to be made of that.

You're talking about the people who believed all Farage's Brexit promises and are too ill informed to see every warning of its impact that he dismissed as "project fear" has come true.
They'll vote for him because they haven't noticed anything he's said beyond "stop the boats".

Shouldn't be a surprise that if Trump's Regime failed to realise the Iranians could close the Strait to shipping they'd also fail to realise their forces would need food.
