You’d think expensive oil would make our government focus on solar and wind energy, you would of course be wrong

#Iowa friends, let's get Community Solar out of committee and into law. Please fill out our action alert ASAP as this will be voted on in committee TODAY!

Tomorrow, the Local Generation Act SSB 3092 / HSB 629 is up for a full committee vote. This bill would expand community solar in Iowa, giving families, renters, and congregations access to clean, affordable energy—even if they can’t install solar at home.

#iowa action alerts for climate advocacy at our state level!
Took me like 2 minutes!
Taking action is quick and it really matters. When people of faith show up together, legislators pay attention.
Please take a moment to sign the action alerts and share them with your networks. Let’s show up strong!

Why I'm personally supporting Wade Dooley for Iowa's Secretary of Ag!
Come hang out with me!
Wade Dooley, age 43, a real farmer, a real conservationist, and a real Democrat for Iowa Secretary of Agriculture!
“Dooley has worked to implement conservation practices on the farm including no-till, cover crops, oxbow restoration and enrollment of tracts in the Conservation Reserve Program.”
Just saying that no country has invaded and attacked another one for their solar and wind resources.
It's illegal for the president to relieve student loan debt. It's completely fine for the president to unilaterally decide to have the head of a foreign nation black bagged on foreign soil.
Began the week with an optometrist appointment who kindly told me that I’m “on the edge of bifocals”. And that my friends is my 2026 theme at the ripe age of 41. 🤓
I've had a hard time getting anything to grow from seed in our backyard most likely due to the 2 black walnut trees... but we've been successful with plugs and more established plants. Hence asking! But I'm going to look out for them. I was able to find some other asters, but I'd like more natives!
Has anyone found plugs of this in Central Iowa?
Congrats!

A little reflection on my new hobby, integrating @climatecentral.org data, and some of the "unseen" impacts of our changing climate for @iowafaithclimate.bsky.social. Give it a read! iowafaithandclimate.org/when-the-gro...
If you control the House, the Senate, and the Presidency... how is in the minority's fault?
Yet another stumbling block in the road. Renewable energy is cheaper than fossil fuels! And if you are angry about this, invest in organizations that are doing the work on the ground in YOUR state. (Most of us give more bang for your buck than giving to a political candidate.)
God this address is embarrassing.
What a load of lies and the UN Assembly just has to take it?
