I think Lev Grossman's The Magicians is the only series I've ever read where I wanted to DNF the first book, but by the end of book 3 started calling it, "one of my favorite fantasy series of all time."
Have you ever had someone urge you to keep reading a series and found that they were right?

...Don't skip over What Saffron and Goodfallow Found! This novella sits between City of Seven and Secret of the Stones.
If you enjoy(ed) MadLibs visit my IG stories today to take part in a magical version called GobbledeGrammar!
My books are...light. Fun. A bit silly. But never have I made myself laugh the way I did in the first few chapters of book two of this series. I don't know if it comes across to you as a reader--but at one moment I laughed myself almost to tears. π
What are some of the funniest books you've read?
It's been 500 years since a hero summoned a demon to the self-proclaimed "Glorious Land of Widdershins."
But...WHY would a hero summon a demon? And what happens when they do?

Ah, poor Mal. π
This quote is from one of my favorite scenes in the series. It takes place in the Underworld and let's just say it takes the fellas some getting used to and NEITHER of them are happy about it. π
All of my books and novellas are available for free through Kindle Unlimited!
Let the reread begin!
Actually, I started the reread over the weekend but will not be done in time for Ravenguard--one of my most anticipated fall releases--to come out tomorrow. Which is fine, because that way the end of the series will come a little later.
Do you get sad when a series ends?
How your email finds me: Taking note of those who have wronged me. Like the people sending me emails. π
JK I heart you all. π
But everybody else--I'm making a list! π
π AWARD WINNING NONSENSE! π
A couple of years ago the first book in the series won a Pencraft Award and I have been MILKING IT ever since. π
Seriously--if you enjoy magic, adventure, & nonsense, Widdershins is a great place to visit.
It's perfectly gloomy and only 64 degrees today. I have my Fiction Bath Co. "Salem" perfume on. Feels like fall.
How's the weather by you? Turning crisp and overcast yet?
My books are about a snarky demon and an inept human hero who get bound (literally) on a quest.
These books are for adults, but if you don't like bad words, this is not for you. The demon swears.
Creatively.
If you enjoy MadLibs & fantasyβIβm doing something I call GobbledeGrammar in my Instagram stories today. Come join the fun! (@a.e.kincaid)
Oh, Reg. Ever the peacemaker. π
Love funny fantasy? (Or as the lovely bookseller Amy Poirier calls it, "funtasy?") You can get Mal & Reg's (mis)adventure on KU, Amazon, or order it through your local bookshop.
GOSH Alix really draws you in, doesn't she?
(No, it did not occur to me that this was a Beauty and the Beast retelling until I looked the book up after I read it. π)
Read anything lately that took you by surprise in a good way?
This quote felt appropriate for a Monday. π₯΄
What drink are you waking up with this morning? I've got straight-up coffee with some half & half. No messing around first thing, beginning of the week!
πππ And how about Star Trek Part VI: The Undiscovered Pants?
OMG my husband @jjmertzie.bsky.social just came up with Pantsing Private Ryan. πππ
Hahahaha!!! Would watch.
Sounds like perfect new content for Adult Swim. π
Itβs about a woman who goes on a rampage because her toddlerβs pants pockets are more functional than her own.
The Pants for Red October
The Pants of Wrath. πππ
Totally change the vibe of a book or movie by adding βpantsβ to the title. Iβll go firstβ¦
> Harry Potter and the Order of the Pants.
> Mission Impossible: Pants Protocol
> Jurassic Pants
Your turn! β¬οΈ
Meatloafβs βI Would Do Anything For Loveβ
Well done. π
This is how you watch your shows, right? π« π
Author friendsβwhy does time do us dirty like that? π
I'm slowly plugging away at something right now that I don't really want to talk about until I have a completed first draft, but it's coming in fits and starts.
What do you do that has to be put on the back-burner sometimes?
Haaaaaave you met Mal?
This is the origin story of how the main characters of my Widdershins stories actually met and kicked off their (mis)adventure together. Currently it can only be read in the Rebel Diaries Anthology, or by signing up for my newsletter. <wink, wink>
Out of context things I hear my kid say on VR, βTHE STICK CANβT BAN PEOPLE!β
And now we know. I guess? π
Let's talk books! Anyone else take off from work to read Silverborn the day it came out? Or some other book you've been waiting and waiting for? Because you better believe I did!
