I loved the book and I loved the film, but I view them as 2 separated but very related stories. A lot of the stuff missed out from the film just wouldn't have worked well, and the stuff added in makes sense in an audio-visual format, but wouldn't have worked as well in the book

My take on the remco-RVV topic:
- lying to the press about a rider's race calendar is not a red flag indicating general dishonesty. Non-Belgians can easily forget how fucking weird the Belgian press are about Remco and Wout especially, and they are not owed the truth about rider plans.

I think his biggest problem is over-utilisation. He did 83 race days + MTB last year with no obvious peaks or build up. He just tries to go for everything, which can work if you're pogi, but not really for anyone else

Occam's razor is quite simply a process for selecting the simplest amongst correct explanations. If multiple hypotheses give differing predictions, the razor doesn't apply.
