Thank you, Colorado lawmakers, for opposing this legislation and allowing the Prescription Drug Affordability Board to continue its critical work to make prescription medications more affordable for hardworking Coloradans.

Good news for Colorado patients! Senate Bill 140, which would stop CO’s Prescription Drug Affordability Board from lowering the cost of many expensive medications, was not advanced by the Colorado House Health and Human Services Committee today.
Senate Bill 140 hurts patients by removing 67% of the 700 medications eligible for affordability review. We need the Prescription Drug Affordability Board to continue to do its job to help hardworking Coloradans save money. Tell lawmakers to vote NO on SB 140.

Doctors, like Dr. Meagan Purdy, warn that SB140 would remove 67% of the approximately 700 medications eligible for affordability review. We need the PDAB to continue to do its job to help hardworking Coloradans save money. Tell lawmakers to vote NO on SB 140.

CSP is proud to work with Sen. Matt Ball and Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver on House Bill 1308 to address our state’s growing housing shortage and affordability crisis. Tell Colorado lawmakers to vote YES on HB 1308.
Giving homeowners the right to sell part of the lot their home is on will:
🏠 Help Colorado families stay in the homes and communities
🏠 Help older family members age in place
🏠 Help first-time home buyers who are just starting out

That’s why we need the PDAB to do its job, so that all hardworking Coloradans can stop paying thousands of dollars on the medications they need. Tell lawmakers to vote NO on SB 140.

Stopping PDAB from reviewing expensive medications keeps them unaffordable! SB140 would prevent the PDAB from reviewing the cost of orphan drugs and whether or not they’re affordable. But here’s the thing – orphan drugs treat more than just rare diseases; they treat common medical conditions too.
CSP visited a split lot with Rep. Boesenecker and Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver to see how passing House Bill 1308 will help address our state’s growing housing shortage and affordability crisis. Tell your lawmakers to vote YES on HB 1308.

This creates more homes that are less expensive and require less land — meaning Coloradans can stay in their communities and hardworking people have more opportunity to buy a home. #HB1308
CSP joined lawmakers, Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver & housing advocates at a split lot in support of HB1308. HB1308 helps address our CO’s growing housing shortage & affordability crisis by allowing homeowners to sell off part of the lot their home is on for the construction of another house.
Hardworking Coloradans cannot keep up with the skyrocketing costs of health care. We need our lawmakers to fight. SB140 guts the PDAB by preventing it from reviewing the cost of hundreds of commonly-prescribed medications. Tell lawmakers to vote NO.

House Bill 1308 passed the House on a 39-26 vote. Thank you to our House sponsors, Rep. Boesenecker and Rep @woodrowforco.bsky.social, for getting this bill through. On to the Senate!
House Bill 1308 won’t just build more housing, it will have a real impact on hardworking Coloradans. To Laura “Pinky” Reinsch, CSP’s ED it’s not only a solution to our state’s housing crisis, but a path towards being able to own a home that fits her needs.
It’s official! House Bill 1001 passed! It’s heading to the Governor’s desk to be signed into law. See what lawmakers, policy experts and advocates have to say about how this bill will make housing more affordable for hardworking Coloradans.

CSP ED Laura “Pinky” Reinsch testified in support of HB1308 in committee on Tuesday! This bill would give Coloradans more opportunities to be homeowners by creating more homes that are less expensive while giving current homeowners the option to stay in their communities. HB1308 passed committee 8-4
Building off CSP’s work to allow homeowners to build accessory dwelling units on their property, HB 1308 will give homeowners more freedom when it comes to their property – allowing them to sell off portions of their lot to stay in the communities where they live.
CSP supports House Bill 1308, sponsored by Rep. Boesenecker, @woodrowforco.bsky.social, @judyamabileco.bsky.social, and Sen. Ball, as a way to address our housing shortage and affordability crisis.
Working Coloradans are forced into long commutes because they can’t afford living in the communities they work in. The HOME Act (HB1001) would create more housing so that:
🍎 Teachers
🩺 Nurses
🚒 Firefighters
can afford to live in the communities they support. @yimbydenver.bsky.social #HB1001
Today, the CSP team was at the state capitol where House Bill 1001 passed out of the Senate Local Government & Housing Committee on a 4-3 vote! Thank you to our amazing Senate sponsors Sen. Tony Exum and @senadorajulie.bsky.social. Next steps: Pass the Senate floor vote!
Organizations support HB-1001 (HOME Act)‼️ The HOME Act builds on our work to build affordable housing in the communities where Coloradans work and build their lives. Tell state lawmakers to vote YES on #HB1001

Denver, Fort Collins & Longmont are the first communities funded to build more housing near transit, which was made possible through HB24-1313. CSP supported HB 1313 because we know that building transit-oriented communities help Coloradans find housing where they live, work and go to school.
The cost of housing affects us all – from high rent, expensive property taxes and limited inventory. Strong leadership will be critical as we implement solutions that address Colorado’s housing crisis.
More pics from the housing gubernatorial candidate forum with Senator Bennet and Attorney General Weiser! Thank you to our candidates, moderators and all the housing advocates who came out to support this event.
BOTTOM LINE: Trump’s economic policies hurt our economy, working Coloradans and their families by creating unnecessary hurdles for Coloradans trying to build a better life.
(4/4)
➡️ Colorado is facing a $1 BILLION budget deficit due to Trump and the GOP-controlled Congress ending federal funding for critical programs that support housing, health care and help Coloradans afford groceries.
(3/4)
➡️ Trump retaliated and immediately tacked on a 15% tariff tax on purchases across the board
➡️ There was no new job growth in 2025 meaning Coloradans will continue to pay more without the chance to build better economic prospects
