My main problem with the Ravi story in #EastEnders is I couldn't give a shiny shit about him or his rat wife and kids. Every problem they've faced has been coming for them.

Feels like they had a practice then went, ew, no, just be dull AF as normal.

She spent a week in EastEnders with Charlie Slater and Big Mo in 2009.

Lucy's killer had been recast between her death and the reveal, and several characters had different barnets.

Of course, the actors had no idea of the scale and madness of the reveals to be made in the next 10 months which would all have to be justified in the fever dream that was the flashback episode. There's a similar vibe in the 1st January 2026/7 episode which is doing the same thing backwards.

Last week in EastEnders 2014, Lucy Beale was killed off. I have since watched the "what really happened" episode from the following year, but am now back in the aftermath, and Jane's wandering around like she didn't just dump Lucy's dead body in a park the previous night.
