Scoop: A report published last week outlined what Palo Alto researchers believed was a China-linked hacking campaign.
But after an intervention from execs, the report's language was changed to refer more vaguely to "a state-aligned group that operates out of Asia."

In #Kharkiv,Marusia the cat was rescued after spending 3 days under the rubble of a shop destroyed by Russia
In order not to injure Marusia further, emergency workers removed the bricks by hand.Marusia was in shock, with burnt ears&muzzle. But the main thing is that she's alive

Hey there Scott Walker. I noticed you deleted this after learning that in fact the shooter was from the right. I don’t think it matters either way, violence is violence, so I’m waiting for you to tweet the same thing with corrected facts?
Cuz you’re uh, to use your words, “being silent.”
On The Power Vertical Podcast this week, I speak with Justin Sherman about his new report for @atlanticcouncil.bsky.social on Russia’s offensive cyber capabilities www.powervertical.org/2025/05/23/r...
Title: SOME GRAMMATICAL VOICES FOR USE IN SCIENTIFIC WRITING ACTIVE VOICE e.g. Our team collected samples and then we tested them. CLICKBAIT VOICE e.g. We collected some samples... You won't believe what happened next! PASSIVE VOICE e.g. Samples were collected and tested. HAIKU VOICE e.g. Quiet science lab. Workers arrive with samples. The testing begins. PASSIVE-AGGRESSIVE VOICE e.g. We did all the collecting and testing. No need to thank us. Just doing our job. CONSPIRACY VOICE e.g. Mysterious "Samples" were harvested and covertly "tested" by so-called scientists.

Have you ever wanted to read a 215-page report on Doppelganger, the Russian disinformation group? Now's your chance!

I was 92, one of the last Fulda Gap scenario courses🤣
Obviously this is how you build an intelligence community culture like Russia’s, ensuring they lie to you & you make more stupid mistakes.
what were they thinking
It’s strange how we cannot make policy to protect Americans from Russian and Chinese disinformation without elements of the American far right identifying with and protecting Russian and Chinese disinformation.

Hegseth's appointment as SECDEF has been like an episode of Fantasy Island where the main character is a senior first lieutenant or junior captain who thinks everything in the DoD would be better if they were in charge.
American elections should be decided by American voters.
I’m introducing new bipartisan legislation to prevent foreign nationals and governments from secretly funneling money into our elections.
BREAKING: I’m demanding answers from the White House and Office of Government Ethics about whether anyone in the Trump family or administration profited off of this tariff chaos through insider trading.

Edward Lucas in Daily Mail calling for defence and resilience, again.
Tonight I'll be in London with @edwardlucas.bsky.social and bsky.app/profile/ukri... talking about "The Future of European Defence" (no big deal). Edward has been warming up with his column in the Mail today.

Hello! The US housing market has gotten very expensive, but I still dream of one day owning a home in a walkable neighborhood. In that spirit, I'm offering my consulting services. If you support the Trump tariffs, I can help you find US suppliers. Let me show you some examples. 🧵
As I watch people and organizations who have the power to resist fold, I keep thinking of the reflection from Helen Keller that "avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. The fearful are caught as often as the bold."
Lesson 13: "Practice corporeal politics... Put your body in unfamiliar places with unfamiliar people. Make new friends and march with them."
***There will be chances to practice corporeal politics all over the USA on April 5th.***

Another weak answer from a Trump nominee when asked whether he would stand up to the President's terrible abuses of power.
I'm a strong "no" on his nomination.
We rally together when the rule of law is under attack. And make no mistake, our courts and profession are under attack. This is our moment as a profession to speak loudly and clearly, reminding our communities why the rule of law and our justice system are vital to our democracy. Today is the day when the organized bar stands and speaks. We stand for the rule of law. We defend our judicial system against attacks that seek to intimidate and threaten our courts and judges. We reject the repeated efforts to impeach and remove judges because the government does not agree with the decision. We condemn attacks on lawyers and law firms for representing clients who have challenged a government policy. We defend law firms and organizations who are being attacked for their commitment to a judicial system and profession that are free of bias and for their policies and programs that enhance diversity. Shouldn't every person who appears in our courts be treated the same and consistent with due process as required by our Constitution? Finally we reject efforts that seek to punish those who have represented parties the government does not like. These attacks undermine our system of justice and the principles that define who we are and how democracy works. Let there be no doubt. The ABA and the profession will lead when we need it most. Now is that time. We stand with our courts and the legal profession as a bulwark against these threats. They must stop.
Attacks on the rule of law, our courts and our profession show no signs of abating. Many have wondered where the lawyers are and how they are responding. The ABA hears the call to action. We do not stand alone: ambar.org/akz90o52
@philklay.bsky.social with the toughest and most iimportant take on the security breach: it’s a character failure.
Donald Trump should fire Pete Hegseth.
If the President won’t do it, he should resign.
The Defense Secretary shared classified information recklessly in an unsecure text chain. His actions could have killed American servicemembers.
Accountability & responsibility starts at the top.
Pete Hegseth must resign.
In 1862, a Union soldier found cigars wrapped in a piece of paper in a field of clover. The paper was a copy of Confederate Gen. Lee's invasion orders. The Southern sloppiness helped the Union stop Lee at Antietam.
It's unknown who lost the orders in the field, or if he was related to Pete Hegseth.
I pressed Donald Trump's nominee for Assistant Attorney General for National Security about Signalgate.
His responses were a disgraceful - and unsuccessful - effort to dodge. Watch for yourself:

Ouch
