Clearly they are reading different or old news. This week: She’s almost more popular in polls than LNP. She may become the opposition 😖

Storage facilities for old people while rest of us try to deny the inevitable uncomfortable reality by throwing money at it.

Symptom not the problem. Refreshing to many someone in charge will actually do stuff that changes things. Sad it’s bad

Gini is best known in economics for the "Gini coefficient", a well-known measure of income inequality, or as he called it, δ or the "index of concentration". It went through various formulations, reaching its final formula in 1912. In a 1914 article, Gini recognized the relationship between his coefficient with the diagram of M.O. Lorenz's "curve" (published a few years earlier, in 1905) (1914: p.229 [hth]. The English-speaking world became aware of Gini's coefficient as a result of his note on Hugh Dalton in 1921.

Gini was active in the eugenics movement, and later became an advisor to the Fascist government of Italy.

Gini was a fascist.

Incoming laws would have blocked $8m in Climate 200 campaign donations Climate 200 would have been blocked from making $8.34 million in donations to independent candidates if new election donation laws were in place at the 2025 poll.

Please read this news story explaining how Albanese colluded with LNP changing rules to prevent Independents gaining traction in Australian politics. Bit over your deluded takes on him. He stands for nothing www.abc.net.au/news/2025-10...

The ‘Anthropological Change’ Happening in Venezuela Maduro is still in place, but a pro-democracy movement is transforming the beleaguered country.

Congratulations to Maria Corina Machado, recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize - her incredible optimism has already changed her country. I spoke to her, and wrote about her, at the beginning of this year:

International student levy to fund maintenance grants for disadvantaged British students Labour will use a proposed levy on UK universities’ international student fees to fund means-tested maintenance grants for domestic students.

The UK Government will tax universities on the income they receive from international students in order to fund maintenance grants for disadvantaged domestic students.

Maybe but Labour have not stood up for locals over foreign labour have they?

Was reading about how graduate nurses can’t get jobs in Britain but there’s a shortage & foreign nurses can. It is pretty screwed up isn’t it?

Like the first 2/3. Disagree with solutions (transparency & green washing- sorry, corporate sponsorship). Imagine if a company whose biz is communication valued & focused on…. communication.
Ditch the AI & intl call centres. Return to doing the job well.

This column by @jamellebouie.net is a must-read -- if you act like losers, the public will think you are losers

Staying quiet and acquiescing is self-immolation -- the only 'safety' is in vocal, public, popular confrontation

Every CEO and media figure will learn this the hard way as well

For all you non-Finns out there: This is what two years of unfettered far-right governance can do to a Nordic welfare state.

A lot of people worked for years to expose the scandal of Robodebt. But the big lie of ‘mutual obligation’ is still official policy in Australia. Until we treat people seeking help with respect, this stuff will continue

Depressed people are often way too hard on themselves & have distorted lens.

Hope that makes some sense!

Think it’s not a great example because it’s kind of shallow. Usually help people to explore of recog their values (ie how ideally do they want to spend their time /what brings join & meaning). ‘Being good’ can lead to negative emotions which they seem to equate with gut/truth.

Are you saying emotions are true? This study seems iffy to me as someone who works on anxiety and depression

That is my life. Has been for years now. And I have kids without MH issues. The people panicking seem new to this!

(I don’t approve of it but it’s interesting)
