Old familiar

In the distance a soft focus headmand shaped like a trapezium drops darkly mid frame into a grey sea. A lighter grey sky dominates the top balf of the image. In the foreground we can see an edge of brick wall and clay tike with flashing which forms a triangle in the near left as you look. The triangle of the tile sort of compliments the drop of the cliff into the sea.

Shapes

Two ladies sit by a table on steps that lead down to a river while enjoying, one presumes, an al fresco beer. If you look closely their fingers are touching. It is for the viewer to decide why. In the background an old stone bridge leads over the river.

A high contrast black and white image. An archway under a bridge provides a darkened frame to a street scene. Centre frame a silhouetted biker heads off to work. Centre left two silhouetted ladies enjoy a cigarette (you cannot see) on a break. In the distance a modern building stands light as contrast to the dark foreground.

Black and white image A lone figure approaches a pedestrian crossing head down. The figures shadow appears almost plaintiff like on the wall. The real scene did not have this melancholy feel.

Just a nice sort of scene you see everywhere if you look. A counter to my aged jaded cynicism. :-)

Two sisters. 1 about 7 years old stoid, the other older crouched down kness bent with arm out trying to get trust greeting a small dog that looks nervous and inquisitive. The dog is on a leader and looks cautious. The owner stands holding the lead smiling. It's a low contrast black and white photo that notes a pleasant hunan interaction.

Simple and "decent"

A high contrast black and white image of a young lady practicing painting her nails in a beauty salon with care. The light illuminates her face and her hands as she paints Paraphanalia and a drink are on the desk along with a can. One would imagine whoever is associated with her would be proud?

And what pleasant other photos

A silhouette of a stone Captain Cook along with one empty bench and one bench with 3 individuals dominate the bottom third of the frame. The top 2/3rds are light grey sky (would be blue if in colour) and fluffy clouds which make for a lot of negative space.

Quadrants of jaded metal form the basis of a simple photo which features wear, rust and age. The left hand quadrants are faded marine blue and the right hand quadrants are orange.

The sun kisses an elderly hand which holds the last morcel of chocolate flapjack. Behind the hand green hills stand in soft focus. The left and right of the frame feature seats in silhouette.

A dark cliff drops diagonally in dark silhouette into the sea. In contrast the sea and clouds provide light grey as a contrast to the left as you look. A very simple image.

Black and White image of British moorland and hills. Light catches a small village in the centre of the image. Taken out of the window of a bus while moving in the UK.

A fen view tgrough a window. A setting sun (not pictured) illuminates a tree to the right and part of a shrub to the left. A small section of yellow field is shown as is a blue sky with clouds which are dark (top of frame) The picture is taken through a door frame which provides a dark border to the shoot. Snapshot.

Big sky country

An individual opens a blue door in a street in Wisbech. The picture is shot through a decorative wreath which acts as a circular frame. The back of the T shirt is not fully readable. Which is a shame as if it had been the photo would have been infinately better. The T Shirt appears to say, "Let passion by your compass to let your soul shine." Which is a noble message for all of us.

Not nailed but if it had been would of been a complete keeper. Nice message which is why I`m sharing.

Three generations of...

An incredible image which is full of depth and character.

An ode to so many things.

A long exposure taken under an Old Victorian Pier. The sea is a wash of blacks, greys, and whites filling the foreground and going to the middle of the frame. The sky is a uniform grey The underside of the pier dominates the mid to top of the frame with symmetrical dark patterns.

I am not professing to be an ecpert but if you get a camera start in auto then as you get comfortable/wish to move towards manual.

Im no sage expert but nearly anyone will say photography is "mostly" not about gear.

Your phone photos = more than fine.

Most modern cameras are able to do most things without you - so simple. But can get more complicated as you take elements of control away from the camera's Auto/AI.

A high contrast black and white shot taken on a bus on a wet day in the UK. Two Grandpatents are dark silhouetted front and back of the photo. The view from the window is softened by raon/condensation from the window and show a historic ruined Abbey with cars parked in front of it. The sky is a mix of greys.

Not noticed.

This was taken on a Sunday morning so I wager either left by workmen or a prank on a plank from Saturday night or something else. Which covers all options. So is a wager I cannot lose.
