”Does Keith think fans are too stupid to read a thoughtful, nuanced answer in full”

Especially after DRS, which was thoughtless push to pass system with no downside and frankly much more artificial than a regulation system which is ‘the cars can follow now’ and ‘under certain circumstances drivers can deploy more energy (which they must regen later)’

Are these articles all written by ChatGPT now? They’re unpleasant to read.

I do a fair bit of speed work even for marathon training, if he’s trying to do a fast shorter distance (like set a personal best in 10k for example) I could see that kind of training being a big part of it

A nice example that for BlueSky’s flaws, it generally rewards people who speak plainly instead of irritating post formats.

Even theoretically «cheap» hobbies like running get pretty expensive if you get into it when you factor in costs for decent shoes and clothes, for different weather conditions, race entries and associated travel

A follow up as well, do you think Bezo’s control will affect the chances of a black Bond?

1 year ago 0 0 0 0

Bond in books and films has always been a mirror for the tensions of the British - American relationship.

How do you think that will reflected with American oligarch control in Trump’s America?

The Hummer Tax Loophole
In 1984, Congress stopped allowing small business owners to take a tax deduction for the purchase price of cars used for work. But the bill included a giant loophole: To protect those who need a heavy-duty vehicle (think farmers or construction workers), Congress made an exception, known as Section 179, for cars that weigh over 6,000 pounds when fully loaded with passengers and cargo. Today such behemoths are eligible for a tax deduction of up to $30,500, while business owners who opt for a smaller car can claim nothing at all.

Few car models were heavy enough to qualify for the tax break 40 years ago, but that is no longer the case: A Hummer 1, for instance, weighs about 10,300 pounds (leading Section 179 to be dubbed the “Hummer Tax Loophole”). Other huge cars, such as a Chevrolet Suburban or an F-250 Ford Super Duty truck can qualify, too

This is real! The US tax code is designed to encourage giant cars. Part of it is a business tax deduction for huge cars - this article is really good www.vox.com/future-perfe...
