Last-minute Coachella addition Kacey Musgraves debuted more songs from her new album 'Middle Of Nowhere'
Two hooded figures with lamps approach a moonlit, isolated cottage. A woman answers the door. We have come for the child, says the hooded figure So soon? she asks It is time, says the hooded figure. The woman is distraught. We should never have got him a library card! What is done cannot be undone, says the hooded figure We couldn’t see the harm! We just wanted him to enjoy reading! For most, it ends there, says the hooded figure, turning away and walking into the wilderness Oh lord, What have I done! says the woman, the child walks past her and out into the darkness with them. Do not cry mother. I am a writer now.

For some reason, I just now realized that we're getting a new Kacey Musgraves album in only (!) two weeks.
Loving this second Kacey Musgraves single so so so much. #NewMusicFriday

first show of the Dreamsicle Tour’s final run. thank you for the loudest “bitch” of the year on Be a Bitch, the roses, and the fan that made it to the show in time after going to the wrong Nashville that morning. that was miraculous.
Studio JJ poster for The X-Files episode "Darkness Falls" released in 2024. The primary focus is a greyscale and shadowed ink drawing of Mulder and Scully (cutting off above their waists) as they appear in the episode. They stand just under a single hanging lightbulb that illuminated only their faces and collars. The agents and lightbulb are backed by a dark grey circle and a black background. The elements of the agents, the bulb, and the circle are each outlined in an eerie lime green. Within the center of the agents, just below the center of the poster, is a drawing of the cabin from the episode (also green), obscured by grey trees that fade into black all around. The green outline around the agents connects to the episode title treatment below reading "DARKNESS FALLS" in a narrow bold sans serif font with a tarnished aesthetic. The words are surrounded by smaller white san serif text reading "The X-Files" above and to the left and the writing/directing credits for Chris Carter and Joe Napolitano centered below, with the Studio JJ logo to the right. Along the top of the poster are similarly centered white credits reading "DAVID DUCHOVNY" and "GILLIAN ANDERSON" on either side of the light bulb cord. The poster has a gradient green texture that starts bright at the bottom and quickly fades away towards the middle of the piece, near the placement of the cabin, evoking the insects from the episode's climax.
The X-Files episode "Darkness Falls" first aired on this day in 1994. Here's my poster for the episode. #TheXFiles #otd
We've been championing Julie Williams for a while now, so to see her on a single w Russell and Oladokun is such a boost in terms of visibility and recognition. Love this.

“Every hour so many damn things in the sky! How in hell did those bombers get up there every single second of our lives! Why doesn’t someone want to talk about it! We’ve started and won two atomic wars since 2022! Is it because we’re having so much fun at home we’ve forgotten the rest of the world? Is it because we’re so rich and the rest of the world’s so poor and we just don’t care if they are? I’ve heard the rumors; the world is starving, but we’re well fed. Is it true, the world works hard and we play? Is that why we’re hated so much? ... Maybe the books can get us half out of the cave. They just might stop us from making the same damn insane mistakes!”
Midway through Fahrenheit 451, we learn that the U. S. government has launched a series of unprovoked wars against smaller countries, just because it can, while the population is so hypnotized by amusements & devices that hardly anyone knows the wars are taking place.
Happy international women’s day! Listen to women! ❤️ open.spotify.com/playlist/3Kc...
New Music Friday! War Child UK has a timely new benefit album out, with proceeds going to help kids in war zones. Plenty of new songs on it, but my pick is a stunning Fontaines D.C. cover of one of my favorite Sinéad O'Connor songs. Listen below & read my review on Americana Highways. #listenbetter
Reminder:
There is no marketing I'm more susceptible to these days than any company saying they don't use generative AI in their projects. I'm a sitting duck for that promise even if they're selling graham crackers or masking tape.
So I think Cam has just done the best show I've ever seen.
The songs. The voice. The band. The pacing. The setlist. Perfect.
He got into the Olympics spirit.
