The news of last night's shooting is devastating. We are heartbroken for the families and community impacted by this senseless tragedy. No one should have to live in fear of gun violence. We're grateful to the Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Office and local schools for their swift response. But thoughts and prayers are not enough - we need to work to keep guns out of the hands of criminals and protect our communities from gun violence.
Our hearts our devastated and we mourn with our community.
