And it was a privelege to represent @ifanuk.bsky.social at the House of Commons to celebrate NAWRA's 50th anniversary and the launch of the campaign launch to make social welfare advice a statutory duty. A fantastic evening, hosted by @marshadecordova.bsky.social

A great day yesterday, we saw the government's publication of the Crisis and Resilience Fund guidance. This will be transformative for households on low incomes. See this piece by @sabinegoodwin.bsky.social for the Big Issue
Great to represent @ifanuk.bsky.social in Parliament this morning at the launch of @turn2us.org.uk new campaign.
A brilliant event for a campaign that is desperately needed.
Our social security system should be there for all of us when we need it.
#stopthestigma #fixthesystem
Totally agree. And UK welfare generosity ranks near the bottom of other OECD countries!
So good to take part in this today! Hundreds of food aid workers coming together for a day of hope, solidarity and action, calling for an #essentialsguarantee.
Thanks to @trusselluk.bsky.social and @sabinegoodwin.bsky.social for organising...an incredible effort.
Great piece by @sabinegoodwin.bsky.social Almost a year since the new gov elected and the situation for food banks is no better
Having seen the lineup, I'm not getting the "better team" vibes!
On our way now! Part of me is trying to be optimistic as we haven't played badly in our two games against Liv this season...but then I remember our recent performances and a deep, nauseous fear sets in.
Genuinely think we should be rewarded for staying that long....
Ha ha, just had that conversation with my son! We have agreed to leave after the fourth....
I'm the same. Chose not to go today, just couldn't do it. I just find it all exhausting...there is no joy, no bright moments or performances that make up for the drab. All gloom.
God, that was depressing. Another low to add to the mountain of lows this season...
Great escape starts here!
Yep, agony
Happy New Year #saintsfc fans. So, given we all know we're already down, can we at least ask for a few things
- to not beat Derby's record...12 points please
- to finally score from a set piece
- to have at least one joyous, fun win (like Huddersfield last year)
(Actually, just a win will do...)
It's so bleak and exhausting. Football should be the fun part of life, the escapism where you can forget the other stressful bits.
I find it's the other way round at the moment!
Oh Russell, it's so over we need a new word for over #saintsfc
Totally agree. Live in fear that he'll get injured...
Yeah, idiotic! Got the less experienced players giving their all and then the supposed "leader" does that. Embarrassing.
That's the frustrating thing...there are some really good performances/signs but the negative/stupid stuff just outweighs all that massively.
A great listen, as usual, keeping us sane in these trying times (and look, TSP is top of my Spotify wrapped)
Agree. Zero expectations, hopefully some players will relish the chance to show what they can do (and even if it goes to pot, we can console ourselves with the fact that Downes, THB and Dibling will be well-rested for Sat!)
Very happy with that!
Yes!
So fed up of this season. What more can be thrown at us.
Gutted to see him leave, but when it happens, he should go with our absolute best wishes. Has done so much for us and stuck with us last year
Yeah, definitely feels that way....
Ha ha, very good point! (Am losing my mind in these desperate times)
Severe weather warnings. Trains screwed, rail replacements. Two key players missing. Going to be a really tough Sunday... But we will do our bit, UTS!
