I always want to be evil team; highest win rate of social deduction games is good, but there is something about being in a group of people that evil brings for me that is fun;
a lot of the time one person is just “trust me, I’m throwing you under the bus, let’s make it work”

I am glad to hear and see people are incredibly passionate about creating spaces for people to be welcome/celebrated/seen, which at its core is one awesome aspect of speedrun communities

When I started speedrunning I knew and learned people were working to make things better

Saying the community is better now seems like BS to me; things have improved, but there is a lot wrong and not great. Idk, I think that’s confusing for me about this post

Trans women are biological women. Trans men are biological men. Please stop using the phrase “biological” to distinguish cis from trans people. Cis does just fine and you’re also revealing your own ignorance of how biology works, as well as underlying inherent transphobia, even if unintentionally.

The randomizer is actually really fun without speedrun tech and really well done (in game logic map, active community, quick install, works great on kbm/controller, etc) so I highly suggest looking into it if you haven’t

This is one of the many reasons I stay away from trailers and pre-release hype for media; like 99% of the time I just get my hopes up or expect something and then it doesn’t completely/directly live up to those feelings

If it’s a blank slate when I see/experience it, I never set myself up that way

wtf? This is one of the mainline producers for GDQ. This guy helps put on one of the biggest charity events in the gaming industry and he's also one of the nicest guys. This is outrageous.

Only tournament I was competitive about was the most recent Ori randomizer doubles tournament, which I told my partner (dedew) we would win; and I made that happen

The reason it is interesting to me, is I am not a competitive person; I just enjoy learning and improving and helping others do the same

Tournaments are preferable though to me in speedrunning vs leaderboards, and I have been vocal about that in the past

I walked past a MacDonalds the other day that had speakers outside of the establishment that was blasting Holst’s The Planets, which was at Mars; I stood there for a good minute conversing with other passerby’s acknowledging this hahahaha

I am still perplexed

To all speedrunners and competitive gamers; please export EVERYTHING that requires evidence to verify you did there thing to YouTube; just make it a habit.
