Yes! Planting seeds and taking action! #FreelanceFriends
Sometimes I post to social media off the cuff—no planning, no keywords, no links—just a simple photo or thought, and they do really well as far as engagement and comments to help me stay in someone's feed/top of mind. #FreelanceFriends
Friends Helping Friends: As we wrap up, feel free to offer a tip, inspirational quote or something you learned recently that every freelancer in your circle should know or hear! #FreelanceFriends
Thanks for all of this! I definitely need to get back to looking at the numbers and defining my goals. It's easy to get into the "social" part and just have fun conversing, but really, I need to keep business goals in mind a bit better! #FreelanceFriends
Thanks for this Thread, ladies! I've been giving myself so much stress over getting back to the fancy tool I used to have (but tripled in price, so I left) to stay ahead of things. I just need a good spreadsheet and a daily time slot to post. #FreelanceFriends
Nice! How cool to have such an active chamber that supports small businesses so directly! #FreelanceFriends
A: I guess I feel my social media posts are successful when they gain comments, likes, shares, etc. Of course, if one triggers a DM or email that leads to a freelance project, it's even better! #FreelanceFriends
Open Mic Q: What are some signs of "success" when using social media for your freelance business? #FreelanceFriends
Open Mic: #FreelanceFriends, it's your chance to ask the group a question.

A3: My biggest challenge when using social media scheduling apps is staying on top of content planning/creation. I feel like the scheduler has to always be "full". I'm not currently using a scheduler, but would like to get back to Buffer to post consistently, and during time off. #FreelanceFriends
I've wondered about the WHY and now I know. Thank you! Less conversation, more clicking. Just what we need sometimes! #FreelanceFriends
Right! Me too! And it's great to hear others are experiencing this too. A nudge we need to do more there! #FreelanceFriends
Thanks! And I found you on there, too! YAY! #FreelanceFriends
Q3: What's the biggest challenge you face when using social media tools professionally? #FreelanceFriends
I'm at www.pinterest.com/angelatague! I need to use it more too! I used to love it to plan house projects/recipes and such! #FreelanceFriends
I pin all of my blog/article content there, and it's been driving tons of traffic back to my lifestyle blog. Weird. I don't hang out there at all. Just pin and go. #FreelanceFriends
For some reason, Pinterest brings the most traffic to my lifestyle blog. I've never understood why, but I need to poke around and learn more. #FreelanceFriends
I also get a TON of traffic from Pinterest. I'm on there the least, but it drives a ton of traffic to my lifestyle blog/website. I need to spend more time understanding that movement and getting it for my writing website!! #FreelanceFriends
A2: I am on many platforms, and feel they all generate something different. Some get more comments (LinkedIn, Facebook), some get more clicks (Pinterest!!), while other get more shares (X). I feel having many messages out there helps me to reach more potential clients and readers. #FreelanceFriends
I wish we lived closer! I'd share some with you! As you can see, my grass underneath is dead. My yard is a random wonderland of flowers and veggies/fruits. HAHA. Pumpkins were in that spot last year before I put in the rhubarb and they killed the grass. OOPS!

Q2: What have been your most effective social media tools (platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook, X, etc. and social media scheduling apps) for reaching professional goals?
