I get frustrated with patterns that make stuff harder than it has to be. I have not had that experience with her stuff.

I am a huge Nora Gaughan slut. So much of her design feels very intuitive for me. Plus I have been able to take some of her designs and riff off of them for a new garment.

I have had limited luck with names, or shared interests. It is definitely going to be a steep learning curve.

I have had the best luck with making the first and second stitches snugged up on each needles. I only use DPNS for socks and don't have a laddering issue. You will likely end up experimenting a bit, but the right tension for you should show up pretty quick.
