I think one of the things that kept it from reaching its full potential was in a game where customising your characters and back stories was a huge draw, there were only 6 kits on release, no bitz packs and it was months until other characters were released.
Large metal models also didn’t help :-/

It’s not mentioned in the TWID, but are there plans for Needlestorm?

As the only super currently available to Strand Warlocks, it feels extremely inconsistent and like it doesn’t really do much unless you’re lucky.

Especially in PVP, the tracking and direction just don’t seem to work half the time

At the moment it feels like you’re playing a slot machine that pays out heaps of weapons & maybe you’ll get something better than what your current roll.

It’s not fun if the majority of drops need to be deleted immediately & the aspirational drop is completely RNG instead of something you can earn

With Crafting, you have agency in the weapon you end up with, can still adjust it afterwards & it’d only ever take a maximum of 2 inventory spots if it’s viable in both PVE & PVP.

Currently, anyone playing all 3 classes for PVE & PVP is likely at their limits for vault space.

With Crafting, you mightn’t get an ideal roll on the first few drops, but it felt like you were progressing to the point where you could guarantee one, and then fine-tune the combos to your preferences

I hope things like multiple weapon perks to select from becomes the norm then.

Having heaps of seasonal weapons drop from activities might initially seem cool, but it’s such a chore having to compare to what you’ve already got, manage the vault spots they take, only to delete most of them anyway.

I feel the different passages & rewards system could have better in-game explanation, particularly as there’ll be a lot of newer players in Trials for the first time.

Matchmaking & team composition algorithms could also still use a LOT of work, but overall the changes for Trials are very positive

Really great changes for the most part, hopefully it helps rejuvenate the Trials player base!
Taking emphasis off the previous “all or nothing” approach is very welcome.
As a mostly solo player, reducing the impact of teammate roulette on your time invested vs rewards earned is very positive 1/2
