Hill Country charity charged with flood relief has 4 employees and a $60M job The Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country has raised far more money than it has ever handled at one time. Usually, a big year is $11 million.

Sometimes, amid all the stories of pain and blame in a disaster, rebuilding seems impossible. But thanks to human resilience and generosity, it's happening in the aftermath of the July 4 floods.

These people are still missing or confirmed dead in Texas Hill Country floods Catastrophic flooding in Central Texas has prompted rescue and recovery efforts for an unknown number of people, including families in the Houston area.

I'm very sorry to say that Tim Walker has been found dead after being swept away in the Texas floods.

“We are grateful to have closure,” his daughter Bronwyn said. “He had a wonderful final day on the 3rd surrounded by the people he loved most."

Houston man helped his family escape Guadalupe River floods — then vanished Tim Walker of Houston was last seen ushering his family through a broken window after their house flooded as they slept.
