One shows global data-center power demand outlook by market to 2035 - a growth from 371 TWh in 2024 to 1,600TWh in 2035. The other chart shows selected drivers of overall electricity demand growth in this scenario from 2025 to 2035, showing that electric vehicle adoption is the largest, followed by data centers, then air conditioning, then heat pumps.

This does make data centers the second largest sector driver of electricity demand growth, after electric vehicles (which replace direct fossil burn). Nonetheless it's not a crazy high number in my opinion.

This makes very little sense to me...

PV for a neonatal unit. This must be one of the most effective aid projects conceivable, in terms of lives saved per $ spent. Any academics out there want to work on quantifying it?
