I’m a decade younger and the backs of my hands and arms bruise exactly like that. His skin has thinned from years of sun exposure and he’s taking aspirin. The right hand being perpetually bruised is weird but I can bump my hand on cardboard and it turns purple.

I wouldn’t say it was questionable. It wasn’t until the Chinese Exclusion Act that there were laws made about immigration. I’ve seen a ship’s document from 1830 that simply identified immigrants by gender and a statement that all were Protestants.
I have not heard numbers that low. Lowest I’ve heard is 37% approval. Biggest shift has been among independents. Dems and Reps are still in their entrenchments.

My own college educated sister was telling me that people should have to come into the country the ‘right way’, like our ancestors did. Our people came over from Europe between 1670 and 1850. They just got off the boat and headed south. She thought they came through Ellis Island. Sigh.

They are just another soulless corporation. Even if Ackman is no longer on the board I promise you men with the same agenda certainly are. There are locally owned Mexican restaurants in every town. I know who owns them, and the food is better.
