Today as part of a Deep Canvassing training + phone banking I was part of an effort that resulted in a Republican Representative getting 85 constituent calls telling him to oppose the budget proposal. One of those was explicitly because of a call I made. I feel that I am actually doing something.

Each person with measles spreads it to up to 18 other people. For comparison, the R0 (measure of spread) for Covid is 1-2.

One of 10 kids who gets measles has an ear infection that may result in permanent hearing loss. Up to 30 per 10,000 die of complications.
