I am making this drawing into a 3D model now, using Zbrush. Coming along nicely so far.

A picture using 3D models I made, all standing in a room. There is no water in this room, which I should say since 3/4 of the characters are sea creatures. The picture is focused on a mutant colossal squid character (not giant squid), who is mostly coloured dark pink, with large pupils, red sclera, and an orange t-shirt. Three other characters are in the picture, a mutant cookie cutter shark and Japanese spider crab, and a regular human boy who would be the main character, being held in the massive hand of the squid character while the other two stand by happily talking to them.

There. Finished one more model remake, that being the colossal squid character for my game.
She’s one of the most formidable bosses of what will eventually be the final product, and one of my favourites character-wise!
Which leaves 5 more characters left!

A render of 8 characters models, being parody versions of characters who are various mutant sea creatures, those being from left to right a man-o-war (or a jellyfish here), a blue sea dragon, a spider crab, an anglerfish, a sea angel, a colossal squid, a cookie cutter shark, and an oarfish. In the bottom left there is an edited logo saying “(someone) and the Deep Sea DJ.” Silhouettes of the characters are edited to have identifiable features removed and added text “Who is this??” to the main character’s silhouette. The models and render was done with Blender.

I’m almost done with something else, but for now here’s an April fools render I threw together featuring these models I made.
It being a mascot horror parody of my original game’s cast, remade to have intentionally bad designs.

I did not realize a demo for Tomodachi Life would come out the day after I made these, but I made the TADC cast as miis for fun.

Today I learned that a teacher and classmate of mine are viewers of the critical drinker. I am very disappointed. Hate that stupid grifter.

An old model of my cigar shark oc, smoking a comically oversized cigar. Referencing a Deltarune meme with Ralsei.

The new version of the other image, with the new model of the shark character, which more so resembles the cigar shark he is based on than the previous model.

I almost overwrote the old picture today by accident. So I’m uploading both of these here as an extra backup.

A picture using recently made 3D models by me, made in Blender. The picture is of a giant red spider crab holding up a child by the hood of his oversized blue sweater. The crab character has purple hair-like structures on her head and wearing matching purple bracelets. The kid is very annoyed with being picked up and attempts to attack the crab to no avail, since he is suspended in the air.

Yay now I have two out of the nine characters redone!

Ignoring the part where I fix issues with both of these models and rigs.

I believe this model is a massive improvement over the first model of this character I did.

A 3D model of my spider crab character in a Blender viewport. She is mostly a red-orange color, except for her arms, feet, and underside which are a light peach color. She also wears toeless black socks on each of her 8 legs, and purple wristbands on her arms. She also has two purple hair-like structures on top of her head.

I am about finished with this new character model! (Will probably make minor adjustments) Now that's about 1/9 remade models for my game's characters. 🦀

A turnaround sheet with only lineart for what will be a 3D model of Calvin from the Calvin and Hobbes comics by Bill Watterson. Calvin here is designed wearing a vampire costume with a suit, cape, large collar, top hat, pointed ears, and fangs.

For an assignment I was tasked with making a basic game based on a comic. I chose Calvin and Hobbes. Now I’m going to start occasionally posting about it as if I’m not already nearly done with the project. #conceptart

Sad I couldn’t think of anything for Valentine’s Day. Would have been fun to draw something for it.
And if I didn’t have so many assignments…

Posting two more new ones at once since I’m very slow with posting these, but yeah, Cheetah and Black Vulture in my style. I might redo the cheetah at some point. 7/30

I haven’t posted in a bit. I just have had many assignments to worry about over the past week.

Preparing some mii characters for when the new Tomodachi Life comes out

A digital drawing of 9 of my original characters but with their designs changed to fit the world and art style of SpongeBob SquarePants. On the far left is a silhouette of SpongeBob for size comparison. The characters species from left to right are Man-o-war but more resembling a jelly fish, a blue sea slug, a spider crab, a sea angel, a cookie cutter shark, an anglerfish, a colossal squid, an oarfish, and a salmon. The salmon character is originally a human but I didn’t wanted to make him a fish for this art.

Tried to draw these guys in another art style again! This time I chose SpongeBob because I’ve been more appreciative of the franchise lately.
I couldn’t find a Sea Angel or Man-o-war to reference..

And using the tech for “getting ideas” isn’t good either because gathering good references and being able to convey an idea that works is part of the creative process.
If you can’t do something without genAI, to me that just proves you don’t deserve to be in the creative industry.

Feeling angry about it again, so I’ll just say that if I ever use genAI for a project it is entirely against my will.
I hate the fact this technology exists and it will never be as fulfilling or ethical as just doing the work myself.
Yes I do have professors promoting genAI. It sucks.
