I wish I could take pictures with my eyes and issue tickets, I see this so often
Serious question: why doesn't anyone signal anymore?
Hey @cbcstephenquinn.bsky.social there’s an error on you playlist from today’s show. The piece of surrey’s growth is repeated and the interview with the long Covid artist is missing. Where else can I find it?
“'Fairchild TV News has not received any statement in Cantonese and/or Mandarin from Mayor Ken Sim, despite Sim stating he would do so yesterday,' said Albert Tsui, with Fairchild TV News."

Oh I heard. “Actual science”
Not at all! This is the 3rd time I’ve heard similar pieces and as a natural night owl, I am looking forward to leaving work and feeling like the day still exists. I already wake up in the dark, so what’s the big deal?
@cbcstephenquinn.bsky.social so much early bird propaganda on the CBC over the last couple days. If they really wanted to help for ppl, they’d advocate for school and work to change hours around the light.
decided that today’s ken sim story was really just an excuse to talk about old mayors and their weird beefs
They’re just afraid of losing their sugar daddy.
Careful. We’re not allowed to say “we are Vancouver” cause it’s a fifa slogan. Fuckers.
The loss of neighbourhood events, festivals, and street parties is bad for artists, artisans, and audiences. But it's also a huge blow to local shops. Supporting arts, culture, and entertainment isn't feel-good altruism, it's good business.
Time to get serious about supporting festivals and events
Yes! Haha, History! Starts at 6:30pm but visiting the galleries is included in your ticket, so come early! Tickets here: museumofvancouver.ca/haha-history...
Worth noting that on a different website, multiple ABC Vancouver officials follow accounts that post constantly about how Sean Orr is a terrible human being and make all sorts of unproven claims, including one account that creates AI videos of Orr doing all sorts of illegal or evil acts
The first Sunday of every month is Pay What You Can at the three attractions in Vanier Park: the Museum of Vancouver, the Vancouver Maritime Museum, and the HR McMillan Space Centre @spacecentreyvr.bsky.social

As a pedestrian I feel unsafe. Even in a marked crosswalk, well lit and I am carrying a light and cars still don’t stop.
As a driver I often see cars not using signals, not staying in their lanes and driving too fast. And infrastructure is bad, making it hard to see.
We have a big problem.
it is more expensive to maintain crisis than it is to address it directly.

Recipes are just guidelines…. Except when you’re baking. That’s why cooking is an art and baking is a science.

I was telling one of my kids that it was physically impossible for an ad to play between songs on any of the records I own, and they asked "and you only have to pay for it once?" and you could see how strange that seemed. You cannot overstate how many basic rules of media consumption have changed.
